QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Crusades said:Yes. Liberals know what fascism is so much so they can't even see it when they try to inflict fascist policies to help the country through more government power. Or the complete "canceling" of anyone who doesn't align exactly within their ideology! Yup. Spot on.
Hahaha
Fascists are right wingers. Always.

Google "extinction burst".
You're absolutely correct. Everyone knows anything of use was built on the backs of slaves.
QuoteAn Alabama grand jury has recommended that a city's police department be "immediately abolished," finding there is a "rampant culture of corruption," officials said Wednesday while announcing the indictment of five of the agency's officers, including its police chief.
They were using and trafficking seized drugs. They lied and falsified records and digital documents. It's almost like giving groups of people immunity enables corruption.

What gives you the idea they were given immunity?
Crusades said:Well, the word dictator and fascist is throw around freely and arbitrarily and has lost it significance. He's a fascist, she's a dictator, they're fascist everyone's a fascist dictator. Who cares if Trump called Zelensky a dictator?
It's like the new Mike. Everyone knows a fascist dictator.
Such a petty response. This is your take away from a world leader lying and throwing an ally under the bus.
I just can't

Many law enforcement officers benefit from qualified immunity.

I wasn't directly but it's relatively easy to recognize the parallel.

Qualified immunity pertains to lawsuits and doesn't protect those who knowingly break the law.
The news article posted has nothing to do with qualified immunity or anything to do with Trump.
I think the member who posted it was trying to make an analogy to Trump. It should now be clear to all that it is a deeply flawed analogy.

Oh well.
Trump and Musk and their sychophants are fascists. They fit the traditional definition. This is not a term thrown around arbitrarily, like communist or socialist. It is being used for specifically to describe very specific ideology and attitudes.
It matters that Trump uses gas lighting and projection to try to mislead his supporters about Ukraine. That strategy is right out of the fascist playbook, so to speak. It's unfortunate that everyone knows a fascist in the USA. Republican politics got us here.
