QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

This is about not allowing a tiny fraction of trans kids, teens, and young adults to participate in school sports even when they do not have a hormonal advantage. It really all started because of one collegiate swimmer who wasn't physically dominant on the team or in the conference.
Im not sure who you have in mind. The swimmer I'm thinking of was very average competing with males, but became an NCAA national champion when he competed with females.

Ypu forgot about how the "collegiate swimmer" was exposed to the other swimmers naked genitalia when they were undressing in the locker room. Then being called transphobic, and offered counseling when they objected. Under the treat of being kicked off the team.
Oh and there was more than 1 swimmer on that team that was concerned.
Beerman said:Well, that's debatable. And without consideration of other factors such as sharing of locker rooms, hotel rooms, etc.
But let's start with the low hanging fruit. Is there any reason a male can't simply participate with other males?
Yes. There are reasons. Can you guess what one or two of those reasons might be?

Maybe you could share her record so we could speak in specifics.

Nope. I didn't forget anything.

I'm not up to guessing.
I just mentioned his record. You should have already been aware of it if we're expected to accept your opinion as a qualified one.
My husband had a brilliant thought today: If Trump is so anxious to "buy" beachfront property in Gaza, why isn't he buying Malibu? I can think of only one. reason. Gaza he gets for free (for helping keep Netanyahu out of prison) and he'd have to pay for Malibu. It's about making him great and has nothing to do with America as we denizens of NYC learned decades ago.
We seen this in these forums. Constant criticism including the absurd about anything Trump related. I've used the term " the sky is falling", but the analogy of the boy crying wolf is more appropriate.
"I'm very big on- and I know it's annoying, but specificity and nuance," Stewart said. "And I think if you cry 'fascism' at every administrative overreach, even the ones that are constitutionally OK, you will find yourself out of fascism bullets when the time really comes."
"I think what the media has done over the past ten years is cry wolf, to the point where they numbed everybody," he continued. "It was an anesthetic, and it got to where- what was the thing they litigated throughout this campaign? 'He's a fascist, he's a terrible person, democracy is on the ballot.' Guess what lost at the [ballot box]? If you told us democracy was on the ballot, democracy got its *** kicked by a majority vote."

So the Democrats ran an awful campaign and Biden should have resigned two years into office, but look at what we are left with, though. Musk just told Hannity last night that the astronauts are stuck in space for political reasons at the same time he bragged that he has done many rescues before. He actually blamed Biden. If he's done so many rescues before, why can't he do this one now? NOW the GOP: is crying about the indiscrimate layoffs when people in their districts are suddenly, without notice unemployed. Who will pay for their unemployment checks, their food stamps, their health care? The states will so the GOP has had a wake-up call but I doubt that such gullible and easily corruptible people should be listened to anymore.

It seems in these threads lessons have not been learned and wolf crying is still the go to.
Meh, it didn't work for the 2024 Presidential Election resulting in Trump winning the election and flipping all 7 swing states. Oh and yes, the popular vote. None of the far left people in these threads have attempted to explain how that happened. Just more "fascism.........", identity politics.
Let them cry, in fact encourage it and the samething will happen at the ballot box in 4 years.

Yep, exactly. I hope they keep it up.
