I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.

Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL

I bet this plays just like a mob boss scenario for the jurors. What a show.
In his plea deal, Cohen said "in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office," he withheld information about hush money payments to two women from going public that would have hurt the candidate and his campaign.
Cohen was ordered to serve his sentence at the federal prison camp in Otisville, New York. However, in 2020, he was placed under house arrest due to the COVID-19 pandemic. His sentence ended in November 2021.
Since Cohen already found guilty of election interference , evidence presented sure ties Trump into scheme.

Trump sure has worked with lots of people who lie and break laws over the years. A good number of attorneys associated with Trump have lost their licenses and are in criminal proceedings themselves.
There certainly seems to be a pattern of sketchy behavior and practices in Trump world. Liars, criminals, charity thieves, scam universities and predatory fund raising all suggest that Team Trump isn't much interested in law and order.

It's clear that we're being set up to not accept a democratic election not only by Trump but by people like Rubio. We're also being set up to not accept our criminal justice system should Trump get a guilty verdict (naturally he can and will appeal but I can already hear the claims of a corrupt court system), given that the Speaker of the House was at the trial supporting him. All our trusted institutions are now suspect.
Even the medical sector is suspect. He will "assign the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate the medical sector to see if they have "deliberately covered up horrific long-term side effects of sex transitions in order to get rich.”
Biden has invested roughly 28 times more into HBCUs than Trump has. Trump is no champion of prison reform. And the former president's business prowess is an illusion.

The defense asked for the judge to dismiss the case and then they called their witness.
