I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

There's a growing list of once respected and influential people making fools of themselves on behalf of Trump.

I read this part of it "Vladimir Putin, President of Russia will do that for me, but not for anyone else" as meaning "If Biden wins, Evan Gershkovich will remain in prison indefinitely".
I can't find any info on what sort of deal he made, or any comment confirming or denying the arrangement.

Pretty suss, though. A story to keep an eye on.

I think he would be refering to the approach he has taken with several communist/socialist dictative leaders.
He was able to form a amicable relationship with Putin and Kim Jung in which he was harshly criticized for. However was able to make some progress.
And probably because Biden is not a strong leader. Not to mention he has not been able to make any headway to get Evan Gershkovich released from Russia. So it's not a far stretch to think he wouldn't again if he got a second term.
You presented it or the article presented it as he was making a threat. Which happens allot with left wing media.

Trump was so strong he managed to bring Paul Whelan home, right?
Why is it wrong to consider that Trump might make a threat? Is he too ethical?

Trump talked about migrants entering the US: "You look at these people ... they are physically fit, they're 19-25, almost everyone is a male, and they look like fighting age.
"I think they're building an army," he says. "I think -- they want to get us from within.
"I think they're building an army ... they have something in mind."

The Iowa AG is representing republican hypocrisy in NYC.
QuoteWhen Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird traveled to New York to call Donald Trump's hush money trial a travesty and a sham, she betrayed the state of Iowa and the legal profession. Trump's guilt will be determined by a jury of private citizens that his lawyers had the opportunity to question, not by Joe Biden or the "deep state.” Should the jury return a guilty verdict, Trump apologists like Bird will have painted themselves into a corner that requires them to accuse the jury of having been rigged, the way they continue to endorse Trump's Big Lie that the 2020 election was rigged. For our state's top legal official to undermine the very fabric of our legal system – trial by jury – is the real travesty.
Trump seems to bring out the worst in people.

I agree that we don't need that post, especially today.
