The Story of Jahi Continues

Nurses Headlines

I can guarantee NJ Medicaid isn't paying for her care like the other poster stated! Perhaps IBRF/Dolan/Schiavo/hairdresser secured funds for the home equipment and initial care/parent education. The articles regarding eviction stated there are nurses in the home. Knowing bill rates on the east coast doubt GFM was sufficient. Medicaid requires facility care for anyone who has a need for >16hrs a day long term it's cheaper than pdn.

The article said that there are nurses in the home, but they got their information from Dolan and the scamily, therefore it is not necessarily true!

I would guess that they got educated on care while in the hospital (or hairdressers place) in nj, and they probably paid the initial fees to be set up at home through Schaivo or the hairdresser, but they are probably delinquent on the payments now. Legally I don't think anyone can remove life support equipment just cuz the bills aren't being paid.

Difference is its somatic support of a former life with a death certificate. Landlord started lock out/eviction proceedings so not everyone is afraid to challenge this family.

Nothing indicates the agency was getting paid or by whom. Smartnurse1982 has implied in posts that she knows the agency hired and possibly some the nurses involved.

Dolan's last press release talked about Nails being afraid that the storms in NJ had her worried because if the electricity went out Jahi would "die" and he cited that as a reason for getting her back to CA. that was only a month or so ago.

'Cause CA doesn't have storms and power outages?? :)

lol, that's what I thought!

Or earthquakes, mudslides, wildfires...:)

Yeah, when it comes to bad weather and other natural disasters, I would prefer to take my chances in NJ. :)

The family took pictures of this eight grader in pre op. I hope that they had the presence of mind to video record what happened in the ICU on 12/9/ 13 and during the 2 hour and 33 minute long code.

If they did, I'm guessing those photos/footage did not show the event play out like they claim, because if they had any concrete proof that CHO was at fault the public would've know about it.

Not quite sure I believe the amount of time they spent on the resus, but I have never seen a family member be allowed to film it. Im sure the hospital has complete records of it though.

It's hard for me to wrap my head around how a family (especially that one) could keep Jahi going as long as she has. I suppose that is, in part, to the girl's relatively healthy 13 year old body and it's resiliency. But still. I've yet to encounter everything lol so what folks here have said about NJ state not paying for nursing care, I have to agree with the logic of it and still have my head spinning on why that kid is still going over a year later.

Don't overlook how many people out there are calling this a 'miracle' :) If we step out of our personal perspectives for a moment, recognizing that things can indeed be seen differently than we see them, that Jahi is still going is miraculous indeed.

I don't see how Jahi could even be . . . well, alive (as it were) if she weren't being cared for by nursing staff and overseen by a doctor.

I think in NJ she isn't considered 'dead', and has the full range of services just like anyone else. No doubt the state of NJ is funding 24 hour nursing care.

And even WITH excellent private duty nursing care, I am surprised Jahi is still . . . alive, as it were, being that she is in NJ and all :p

Lets just say i know for a FACT Jahi gets Pdn
