Doesn't bother me that he doesn't have the maturity and back down and do what's best for the party and try to heal them and brace them for victory in two years.

He is either incredibly dense or really is playing a strange Lee Atwater game? It didn't end well for Atwater.
I can only surmise that it has to do with fund raising. Almost every other person, confronted by the legal situation he's in, would keep quiet and marshall their forces. He feels that he is either invulnerable or able to bully both Leticia and the DA in Georgia. He's also got Vance to deal with and probably a host of civil cases following.
I've mentioned repeatedly about the discovery process and he's making it so easy for them. I will not be surprised in the least if Putin doesn't dump a load of evidence that will implicate him because discovery is likely to implicate Putin or some oligarchs who are equally venomous. They do not need adverse publicity because with Biden in office, many other govts will become emboldened. Putin is the literal emperor with no clothes!

Does this give any of the House or Senate pause?
What's their legacy going to be? Going forward what's their children and grandchildren going to think about what was said and done and how will they negotiate their lives with such a burden?

Seems you've been waiting for this day to make such a post. How sad.
Have you actually listened to him much, or just rely on sources such as the Huff Post?

You seem somewhat pleased with this.

Why exactly should Mr. Limbaugh's passing give pause to anyone in the House or Senate? And how do you see this having any impact on their "legacy?"

I have ... back in the 90’s I listened to him quite regularly. As a self-described conservative, he didn’t reflect my views at all, but it was interesting to hear the conservative take on the issues of the day. Conservative thinking dominated and mindless snark was at a minimum. Over a period of a few years, he seemed to rely more on “pwning the libs” and entertaining his ditto-heads. The few facts he did discuss became more and more alternative. I finally quit his show in the late nineties. In my view, Limbaugh’s work to foster hate and contempt for the “other” was a significant contributor to Trump’s divisive campaign and the damage he did as president.

IWhen my son got out of the marines, he was hanging out with a whole contingent of total losers. He soon realized that he was wasting his time and dumped them when they started stealing from him. For a while, he harbored thoughts of retaliation and revenge. I pointed out that revenge is a waste of time because everybody dies. Take that however you will.
I find it unseemly to crow over Limbaugh’s death. However, given his legacy of division, disrespect and hate, I can’t say he will be missed.

I actually did listen to him, occasionally, when I was in the car during his broadcasts. I found his comments hateful and mendacious. I think he did more to shift conservatism than Trump. He perpetuated the myth that white Christians, especially men, were victims of mean ol' women, minorities, and Muslims. Remember feminazis? Chelsea Clinton as the White House dog? Half-frican? Barack, the magic Negro?
I do not celebrate anyone's passing, but neither do I consider him some sort of hero.

Beerman you or I are a product of what we consume. He's as toxic as radium or plutonium! Have you ever listened to what he's said about Hispanics or Black people or women?
He's in the same mould as Lee Atwater, Gingrich, or any of the major hypocrites out there.
What about his drug abuse and what he said prior about drug abusers?

Seems to me like maybe you are the commenter who isn't familiar with Limbaugh's standard commentary. I listened to him everyday for a long spell. He's famous for inflammatory, bigoted and racist opinion. His legacy will reflect that sad reality.
It just occurred to me re Limbaugh's hateful legacy of lies etc, can what happened in Detroit re the water and all those politicians who are now charged with some convictions, if that same strategy can be applied to the republicans when they lie.
It's a proven strategy and their lies have consequences, so a precedent has been set. Why not use it to make them tell the truth!
I know it doesn't apply to in air entertainers but it can definitely be applied to politicians!
