Thanksgiving break is upon us!:chicken: I wasn't working in this setting at this time last year, so I wanted to hear from you all;

How crazy does it get before the holiday break?! :ninja:

When are you all out for break? ;)

Thanksgiving isn't too bad since its only two days (Thursday and Friday). I don't get a lot of "we need to get stuff from your office before break" like I do before Xmas and Spring. I do have a few students who come in to have things pulled at the end of the day so I'll leave a few minutes late (and I'll be in early Monday morning to put them back in place).

We get all of next week off at my school, and I am off starting this Friday for a family function over the weekend. It isn't crazy leading up to the holiday, but that first Monday back and every day after that until Christmas break is crazy- kids bouncing off the walls with excitement, illness galore...

Wow - lucky you! I only get Thursday and Friday, half-day on Wednesday.

Starting Friday...nine days off!! And I say to my kids...when I was your age, we only got Thursday and Friday off....

They're all tired. We're three weeks into the six weeks, and the first semester hurdle's nearly cleared. It's much worse before winter break (actual legit illness) and before spring break (illness and the tireds) than this week. Good luck!

I generally get more craziness on the first few days we are back in session. The days leading up to the time off are basically just the same ol same ol kind of days!

We are in session through next Tuesday and then we are OUT! I'm counting down the days, for sure.

We get all day wednesday through the weekend off, so 5 days in all. I'm ready for it! Like the others have said, I don't notice alot of changes at this time, but then when we return up until Christmas break, its usually nuts. Kids don't want to be here, they are all crazy excited for the holidays, lots of little parties and reward days going on, and its just kind of a mess.

Same here! 7 more school days and then 5 glorious days off! This is my first year not working two jobs also so I will be off for the holidays and able to enjoy them!

We are off for the entire week, so I am counting down till this Friday. I think it's more crazy after the holiday, I don't see much change beforehand.

Usually before a holiday, things slow down because of all the fun activities the kids do. Knock on wood, nothing bad happens.

I get Wed, Thurs and Friday...and I cant WAIT!!! We just had a 3 day weekend, but I really could use a longer break!!! Fall seems SO long to me! I dont relaly even care about Thanksgiving, just not having to work. LOL, I know that sounds bad......I am thankful, but tired!
