In general, look into the states where people are not flocking to in droves: Wyoming, Oklahoma, Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kentucky, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Mississippi, Louisiana, Idaho, Montana, etc.

Agree about KY, especially the smaller hospitals or out in the Eastern areas. In the mountains, they're offering some pretty solid sign on bonuses because it's really underserved. If I could have afforded to drive out there or move, I would have. My hospital system in Lexington just took on 29 new grads, 28 of which are ADN.

I'm in NC at a magnet hospital and they hire ADNs all the time.

Outside of Philly and Pittsburgh that is.

Know a few grads in buffalo NY that got hospital jobs right after graduation.

Texas
This is true only for some parts of Texas. I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and it is glutted with new grads from around the country, as well as local grads. Many local hospital systems are only hiring new grads with BSN degrees because HR departments are inundated with applications.
