I truly have mixed feelings about this. Should we dress more as a nurse and wear scrubs or should we dress as part of an educational team and wear what the teachers do? Which would give us the most respect in the school system? Which looks most professional??
I've worn both. No matter what I wear I wonder if I should be wearing the opposite... I'm curious to see what others think! We're split about 50/50 in our district. I've been wearing scrubs for the past few years but I'm getting tired of them. We aren't allowed to wear heels or open toed shoes as a nurse but the rest is up to us.
Scrubs!
I was new this year and no one knew who the hell I was in "real" clothes. I'm a parent in the school, so what if they thought I was there doing parent-y things? Once I wore scrubs, people started talking to me.
I've worn scrubs 23 years. Old dog, new tricks, yadda yadda.
PLUS, I really have no fashion sense.
Well, since I keep my finger on the pulse of fashion trending I can throw in here. I have 5 red, long sleeve, T-shirts with my name and title monogrammed on them. I wear the same identical shirt every day. I do, however, cycle through a group of different colored cargo pants in addition to jeans for Fridays and other jean days. Continuity and variety in the same package!! I'm thinking about going to identical cargo pants next year

Red to mask all the nosebleeds?

I'm wondering...what all of you wear while working in an educational setting? I have seen some who wear scrubs, some who wear a scrub or lab jacket over business casual, and some who wear only business casual.
