scrubs or business casual

Published

I'm wondering...what all of you wear while working in an educational setting? I have seen some who wear scrubs, some who wear a scrub or lab jacket over business casual, and some who wear only business casual.

I figure since red ties are considered power ties a red shirt could only help.....but really red and blue are our school colors. Maybe I'll do blue shirts next year.

Business casual and love jeans on Friday!

I have 5 red, long sleeve, T-shirts with my name and title monogrammed on them.

Scrubs. It's like having pajama day, every day.

I wear scrubs most of the time. If I have a 504 or other type of meeting I will wear my "nice" scrubs - no cartoon/crazy prints. Fridays and random days through out the year we have "Spirit" days - all staff are allowed to wear jeans with a school/district tshirt. We have a district wide meeting at beginning and end of year - professional dress is required, no scrubs or jeans.

Both for me - depends on my mood when i wake up and more importantly the chill in the air. Some mornings are just too chilly for scrubs so i need real clothes. We also get to wear jeans on fridays - Mondays too - but that's a fundraiser that the 7th or 8th grade runs that not everyone participates in. Lab coat every day because, you know, pockets.

Well, since I keep my finger on the pulse of fashion trending I can throw in here. I have 5 red, long sleeve, T-shirts with my name and title monogrammed on them. I wear the same identical shirt every day. I do, however, cycle through a group of different colored cargo pants in addition to jeans for Fridays and other jean days. Continuity and variety in the same package!! I'm thinking about going to identical cargo pants next year

I picture your closet looking like Homer Simpson's.

I wear scrubs. I make sure to wear "nicer" ones, though: Tailored tops, as opposed to really boxy ones. Boot cut pants, instead of the really loose pajama-like ones. And my Danskos! :)

I'm not really good with fashion, myself. Plus, I don't want to get pee, poop, vomit, or blood on anything that costs more than $20...

Scrubs all the way here.

I used to wear jeans on Friday but since I was recently vomited on I no longer feel the desire to wear my nice clothes anywhere near the clinic. My scrubs can handle the super hot wash cycle so that's what I'll be wearing everyday. Besides, the kids love them and they're super comfortable and it's how everyone knows me apart from the other faculty/staff.

I wear Grey's Anatomy scrubs. They are a little more fitted as well. I am wearing solid navy with a scrub top and a scrub jacket.

And rainbow leopard Danskos.
