Go ahead, break the ice, and introduce oneself!
I guess I'll start. I'm originally from California, and have resided in Texas since late 2005. I've been an LVN since January 2006, and I currently work in the rehab section of a skilled nursing facility in Fort Worth. Since August 2006, I have earned 38 college credit hours worth of prerequisite classes to be applied toward one of several local LVN-to-RN bridge programs.
Hi,
I grew up all over the U.S. born in England (airforce brat).I have a daughter that lives in San Diego and a wonderful husband. I am a licenced esthetician and permanent makeup artist and work at a medispa on the mainland. We moved to Texas a year ago,due to my husband being a commercial diver. We live in Galveston and it took little getting use to, but, liking it very much now. I am currently going to school for my preqs. for the ADN program. I am always open for any advice. Looking forward to the journey.:hpygrp:
Hi everyone! I was born and raised in San Antonio and transplanted to central Texas for college. I'm not practicing nursing right now because I am waiting for my second child to be born ANY TIME NOW :)
Then in May we will be relocating so I'm applying for work in all the big cities (because I'm not sure where we are going yet). Anyway, it is lovely to meet you all!!!
Native Texan here. Obtained my LVN ceritfication at Galveston College 2004. Married with one son, daughter in law & two wonderful grandchildren. We moved to East Texas one year ago & I love it here. Currently working in LTC as ADON, trying to finish up my pre requs to enter the BSN program & TAMUCC.
Born in California, got to Texas as quick as I could (about 7). Went to h.s. in El Paso, went to Texas A&M.Whooooooooooooooooooppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joined the Army. After time in Cali, was sent back to good old Texas. Sadly, I am now an expatriate living in the DC Area. Going for my BSN in Maryland. I may move back but my heart is torn between Texas and Cali.
Where in EP did you go to H.S.???? I was born and raised there. Graduated from Loretto Academy.

I'm not a Texas native. We moved to West Texas 10 years ago when I finished graduate school. We moved to SC for one year (natives of GA) and hated it with a passion; couldn't wait to move back to Texas! I love the people and the low humidity and have found that the landscape grows on you. I'm a FNP.
