This trick does still work for NYS. Just put all of your information as if you were registering for an nclex exam. Put all of your card info with a WRONG expiration date or CCV code so that you don't risk any money. Then once you complete that page and click next. It'll take you to the next page to confirm. Once you confirm it'll take you to the next page. On that page if it says invalid card (fail) and if it says that you can't currently register at this time due to an open registration (pass)!
I don't argue with people who actually can prove that im wrong with actual facts! That's like someone graduating from school and you telling them that they never graduated ...
We have given you facts. If you need more please re-read RNsRWe wonderful article. :)
She knows more than me about the topic at hand.
So now, I am done arguing with a brick wall (who only has "I/my friends/my classmates did it so it must be right/accurate/verifiable to back herself up with).
OP-
I personally know two people who did the PVT trick within the last few weeks and months and it was WRONG.
I live in FL and we've been having some bad storms here recently. People have still been able to take their NCLEX but there was a delay in the transmission of their results due to power failure. They did the PVT (one before 24 hours, one at 36 hours) and it took their money. They thought they failed. Well, guess what? One received her license in the mail a week later and was shocked, and the other freaked out for 3 days until she paid for quick results (just on a whim) which showed she passed.
Not going to lie, I was one of the ones who did the PVT right after I took my test. I reasoned with myself and told myself that it would be worth it to me if I spent $200 for peace of mind. I went in very well knowing that I may be out $200 and I was ok with that risk. It worked for me, but again, I would not advocate doing this because I personally know two people who it failed.
Two people who got a "bad pop up" and PASSED.
There you go. Doesn't matter that they paid, they did NOT get the pop up that didn't allow them to register. It DID allow them to register. IOW: epic 'trick' failure
No one said it was 50/50 accuracy. They/we are saying it is wrong with increasing frequency. That whether you use a valid or invalid card, the "trick guess" is still a crapshoot.
NOW can you accept this happens to people, even if it didn't happen to YOU personally?
OP, if you get hired at a hospital, please tell us where you are working so we can avoid going there ever. You are too stubborn and argumentative and your refusal to listen to people who know what they are talking about and actually LEARN something is going to make you the kind of nurse that I never want caring for me. The PVT is not reliable. it worked for you, it will work for thousands more, but it doesn't work for many many people! What do you risk? You risk getting upset and depressed beacause you think you failed when you didn't. Emotional turmoil is as important a risk factor as money.
The OP and her friend have repeatedly said that they don't believe this happens, that is that people could have ever gotten a 'bad pop up' or been able to register for another exam if they passed. Nope, has never happened because they haven't seen a single instance in all the time they have been re-reading their own posts
So, now, I ask again: having heard from someone who is telling you EXACTLY what you wanted to know, whether ANYONE has EVER had the PVT be "wrong".....YOU ASKED for this.....can you finally stop this nonsense of insisting you have more of a clue than you actually do regarding this 'trick'?
Can you finally admit YOU have been wrong.... or is it just too hard at this point? Perhaps you need some more people to come onto this thread to state the obvious, that the PVT has been wrong MANY times now? If so...how many more? You asked for ANYONE, and someone posted. Do you need one more...two...ten? What is the point at which you become embarrassed by your position?

Lol. Yeah, I'm out. I think I can convince my 1 year old that the trick doesn't work better than her!
