PVT Works in NYS

Published

This trick does still work for NYS. Just put all of your information as if you were registering for an nclex exam. Put all of your card info with a WRONG expiration date or CCV code so that you don't risk any money. Then once you complete that page and click next. It'll take you to the next page to confirm. Once you confirm it'll take you to the next page. On that page if it says invalid card (fail) and if it says that you can't currently register at this time due to an open registration (pass)!

It does not vary by State. Pearson Vue is a NATIONAL company that uses a registration program available online EXACTLY THE SAME in every single State.

It is not different in NYS. Or VT. Or TX. Or anywhere else.

Your not understanding how the software works does not equate with it "working differently" in NY.

This is the same kind of misunderstanding that allows people to believe that an NCLEX exam taken in NYS is "harder" or "easier" than an NCLEX exam taken in California. They are IDENTICAL.

What you are posting in this thread is simply wrong...I'm sorry you don't believe this, but....it is wrong. People CAN and DO PASS after having received a message about having input invalid card information. You are propagating false information as the truth, and anyone who believes this to be true is potentially going to suffer for it.

Well then how come some states are not allowed to get the fast results and have to wait 6 weeks instead....& well for the many new grads that I personally know that grad in dec and may...it worked just fine...in the sense that those that failed had the invalid card and the ones that passed had the good pop up err

And trust me I know that the test is the same all around and yes I do know that its a national exam.

Well then do you want to talk to the people who got the bad pop up & passed or spent $200? Like RNsRWe stated, you're using a magic 8 ball, nothing better. But stop perpetuating that the "trick" works.

As far as the quick results, that can vary state by state because it's up to the BON if they participate in the quick results.

Well for for all the people I know in my town even the ones I didnt go to school with it worked for so I'll stick to that. Thank you! As for them then I dont know what to tell you. But the trick has changed and you dont need valid card info.

You are confusing two entirely different things. Quick Results is a fee-for-service, provided by Pearson Vue, for those State Boards of Nursing that participate in the program. Currently there are two States that choose to not participate, California and Louisiana. It is up to each and every State BoN when they will post license information online on their own websites, or notify their applicants. That has NOTHING to do with Pearson Vue whatsoever.

The PVT, or Pearson Vue 'Trick' is nothing more than a recognition that most of the time when one attempts a duplicate registration (as you did, and your friend did, which is against their TOS by the way) they will get a message that indicates a pass or fail. NOTHING MORE. Not real results, NOT accurate, and over the last few months, MUCH LESS accurate than in times past.

Putting in invalid info and then "confirming" that invalid info twice isn't going to net you a more correct 'guess' than putting in correct info. This is what we have been trying so hard to explain to you....but the part you seem to keep missing....or perhaps you are just so stubborn on this you can't allow yourself to see your error.

So....this is what is missing from your argument. The facts :)

But it didn't change & I promise you that. If you put in the wrong date or CVV code, like most companies it will reject it. It's not meant to tell you if you passed or failed. It's a glitch in the system when that happens & I'm sure they are always working on fixing it. If the "trick" was right & you passed, then you got lucky. But there are equal amounts of people who did the "trick" & thought the passed & failed or thought they failed but passed.

Oh trust me they didn't charge me anything and I believe its more than just 2 states...but if its the same thing all around how come they cant even get results in 48hrs ...but its funny you said that because from what I know..the trick DOES NOT work in cali..=)

And the results has everything to do with the BON..

So you're saying the "trick" doesn't work in CA? Why don't you meander over to the CA forum & go look. Or scroll through the NCLEX forum.

And not that I want to perpetuate the "trick" but this person lives in California & said she got the good pop up...

They didn't charge you but there are plenty of people who would beg to differ. Every time you do the trick you are risking $200.

Here is some more information regarding the quick results.

Once again it is up to the BON of every state to determine if they want to participate in receiving quick results.

You have received a lot of information but are not listening to it.
