PVT Works in NYS

Nursing Students NCLEX

This trick does still work for NYS. Just put all of your information as if you were registering for an nclex exam. Put all of your card info with a WRONG expiration date or CCV code so that you don't risk any money. Then once you complete that page and click next. It'll take you to the next page to confirm. Once you confirm it'll take you to the next page. On that page if it says invalid card (fail) and if it says that you can't currently register at this time due to an open registration (pass)!

Oh trust me they didn't charge me anything and I believe its more than just 2 states...but if its the same thing all around how come they cant even get results in 48hrs ...but its funny you said that because from what I know..the trick DOES NOT work in cali..=)

I cannot understand why you are insisting that you are correct on things you are so clearly mistaken on? Things that have been well documented, yet you keep repeating the same incorrect statements.

You seem to be operating under the misconception that the PVT is something that 'works' in some States and 'doesn't work' in other States, which is pure hogwash. You said "results has (sic) everything to do with the BON"; what do you mean? Results of the exam have NOTHING to do with the BoN of any State. They choose when they will update their websites, that's true....and whether they will participate in the Quick Results option available through Pearson Vue (a private company). But passing, failing....that is all the purview of the test administration company: PV.

This thread is becoming the equivalent of a kid sticking her fingers in her ears and saying "nah nah, I can't hear you!"

OP-you are arguing with two of the most knowledgeable nurses on this subject on these forums and you continue to argue "just cos"?? Fresh out of school, just took the exam, the trick worked for you and so you just assume it is going to work for the other thousands of new nurses who are taking the exam this summer.

Ummm....did you already forget what you learned about evidence based practice? In this case evidence shows that PVT is not reliable! Sure, it will work for some people...but it isn't reliable enough to tell the world to use it, because IT IS NOT RELIABLE! You really need to try to learn from older more seasoned nurses, or you aren't going to have a successful career!

I. Just. Can't.

This the logic "it's because I said so, therefore it must be right and reality must be wrong"

Good luck.

I gave myself some time to think before coming back to this. Trying to wrap my head around someone who is supposed to have just managed to complete a nursing program and pass the NCLEX....but is making as her stance "because I said so".

No facts. No EBP. Nothing to back up "because I said so". Truthfully it is the kind of argument I'd expect from a stubborn child, not a professional.

Having digested this all, about the only thing I can think of to say is that should a first-time nursing job be in the cards, I expect there is going to be a preceptor coming on here to talk about his or her impossible new orientee. Heaven help them.

I have been waiting for you to come back & feeling sorry for you this whole time. I can't believe she passed both nursing school AND the NCLEX. The bolding is mine. Lol. *smh*

nah, don't feel sorry for me! I have the option of ignoring it and walking away, and sometimes I'm smart enough to do that, LOL.

But then I remember that there are people out there who will read this nonsense (the misinformation, that is) and believe it....and it will hurt them. I figure my conscience is clear as long as I TRY. :)

If that's different in certain states what makes you think that that's the only thing that's different -_-

Then why not just mind yours... its america last time I checked I have a right to opinion ..."Freedom of speech" whether you like it or not...I personally didn't ask for your reply. ..I was informing my other colleagues all at once that it had been working for all of us that know each other and how to do it the safe way. .. Before getting their quick results =)

I guess that's just that unfortunate for those who didn't get the experience the rest of us did =\

You DID ask for a reply by posting on a PUBLIC forum. Just, what?

How to do it the SAFE WAY is by waiting the two days, paying the $8 & getting the verified quick results. The other way is not reliable nor verifiable.

Freedom of speech does not apply to all venues including privately owned message boards. Posting false statements because you want to believe it is not responsible.

In fact the site ToS states

"Although the Constitution of the US guarantees that Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech”, ALLNURSES.COM, INC is not Congress. Freedom of speech rights do not extend to ALLNURSES.COM, INC. This Terms of Service (Guidelines) governs the behaviors and activities of the members. "

Its not that serious. If for some people it didn't work then that's unfortunate ..worst case scenario study harder and pass it a 2nd time..thats the same with kaplan..guarantees a 1st try pass rate & I know people who failed it 1st try relying on kaplan so go figure...I didnt tag you guys in it and thats too bad that your opinion differs from mine..for the many people I spoke with before during and after their nursing school it worked for them just like it worked for me and I personally havent met some one in my area that experienced that glitch where it was opposite for them or their $ was taken even when they passed.
