I don't post often compared to some but I do read AN extensively. I stay out of the flame wars but it gets really old seeing the same garbage over and over again, from both old and new nurses. With all the various threads flying about right now I would like to stop and acknowledge a true nursing professional.
Esme12, your posts are always insightful, kind and truthful. Your words of wisdom are delivered with class and grace without glossing over the hard facts of nursing. You epitomize the ideal of the professional registered nurse.
I wish I worked with you........but on second thought, I do. I work with nurses who have decades of experience and yet are not bitter or intolerant of others. It took me a few tries to find my niche (psychiatric nursing) but now I can look forward to every day working with the "esme12's" of my unit. Thanks.
Where is tnbutterfly? I vote this thread become an article. :)
I'm right here.....agreeing with all of the comments about Esme. She is a jewel alright who shines brightly as she scatters her gems of knowledge throughout the site. We are all lucky she is so willing to share with us.
This thread, while a wonderful one indeed, is not long enough to be an article..... The OP must be over 500 words. However, someone who so desires is free to write a longer article about Esme and other jewels on the site.
Carry on with the accolades for Esme. She will be speechless when she reads it. Well.....I don't know about speechless. I have never known her to be at a loss for words. LOL

500 words? Oh heavens NO!
I am humbled by the affection and respect. Allnurses does far more for me than I do for it. I LOVE being a nurse. I have always loved being a nurse. Trust me I haven't always been wise and patient nut I have had an amazing career and giving mentors.
I am firm believer that if you don't willingly share knowledge with others then you are not in true possession any knowledge. Pay it forward.
I love AN...tn's right...I am seldom at a loss for words....so THANK YOU!!!!! I am really touched! So is my baby girl....she loves that she has a fan club!
