Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

This is specifically for you! Read and see if you can distinguish what constitutes animalistic behavior?
Our supposed fundamental distinction from “beasts, “brutes” and “savages” is used to divide us from nature, from one another and, finally, from ourselves. In Plato’s “Republic,” Socrates divides the human soul into two parts. The soul of the thirsty person, he says, “wishes for nothing else than to drink.” But we can restrain ourselves. “That which inhibits such actions,” he concludes, “arises from the calculations of reason.” When we restrain or control ourselves, Plato argues, a rational being restrains an animal.
In this view, each of us is both a beast and a person — and the point of human life is to constrain our desires with rationality and purify ourselves of animality.

Now back to Feld Cruz: Again, not working... reading his phone while Capitol Police testify as to how Trump Nazi Terrorist organizations overran the Capitol on January 6th:.
No surprise, he should not be there, Hawley should not be there, and none of the Trump supporting sycophants in Congress should be there because they encouraged the violence and the riots!
I think that's being catty. He could be reading emails, doing any sort of business related to his job. Or his kids or wife could be texting him. How many nurses let their kids text them on the job? I look up meds and conditions on my phone and it might look like I'm goofing off.
Still it doesn't look good for him when he should at least pretend like he's paying attention and cares about justice and what's right.
Biden puts children in cages. The MSM ignores it, except for some gentle coverage from the Washington Compost.

And probably every other Senator there also spent some time looking at their phone.

Dude, people actually tried to overthrow a legitimate election!
Which part of democracy don't you understand? Peaceful transfer of power! Don't you understand that is the CRUX OF A DEMOCRACY?
Consider NO ONE ELSE in the history of America ever considered INSURRECTION as a viable alternative, except Trump! Jesus, man! He had a Mob storm the Capitol to see if he could take over the country!
Would you be upset if China or Russia invaded the country and tried to take it over?
Beerman, NO ONE but a stone cold CRIMINAL would even possibly THINK LIKE THAT! Normal people don't entertain such thoughts if they understood what this country is all about!
And Ted Cruz, and every other person there looking at their phone, has nothing to do with any of the above.

Maybe someone out there can explain to me your point is with this drivel?

Progress.
I previously agreed with you that he lied. The guy has a reputation for being a jerk and an obnoxious guy to work for. But you haven't answered my question: where would you have put the patients who no longer required acute hospitalization but still required nursing care? You are quick to criticize but offer no solutions. Gee, I know a television network who does the same thing every day. I'm dying to hear your plan.

Are you upset about children in cages all of a sudden? Did something trigger you after all these years of caging children? Do you wonder why that is getting so much amplification in the propaganda bubble right now?
LOL

You are the quintessential Trump supporter, aren't you. You see Plato and Socrates, and instead of immediately stirring your interest, you immediately throw up a defensive block. Knowledge is bad, resist, resist, resist!
It's alluding to just being in control Beerman. We all can't just impulsively say and do things. It's supposedly a distinction between us, who's supposed to consider actions and animals who are instinctual and impulsive. Only someone totally of their rocker would have considered an action like encouraging an insurrection and then we actually had sitting senators and house members encouraging it and still condoning the actions!
Unpack what happened, Beerman. Democracy... Free and fair elections... One person, one vote... Peaceful transition of power! Take that away and what do you have? Is America the greatest country in the world? Under what system of govt was that achieved? What's the alternative?
Do you see why those hearings are important? An event occured that has never happened before, that could have threatened our very freedoms! You don't think that such an event needs investigation? It threatened our very way of life!
Dude my Nana has a saying, 'You don't miss the water until the well runs dry!'
Take away what we now have and you will be crying! Hasn't this pandemic shown you that? Can we just go out to dinner or just have a drink at our local? Go to the cinema? Don't you miss looking at all the pretty faces? Have a booty call? Is that what you want?
You want to lose those freedoms forever?

Child detention facilities were around long before Trump, children brought to the border by child trafficker's are held there until they can be returned to their family. What the Trump administration did that was different was to use the facilities to intentionally separate children from their families, that was the issue.

It is not nonsense, votevets posted it and I found it sad but funny! The main point I was making is that Cruz should not be there listening to testimony and neither should anyone else who supported Trumps big lie! Rather he should either be in Texas working or testifying like all the other Trump sycophants who instigated the riots of January 6th.

But clearly @Beerman has listened to his preferred media voices and he is now quite concerned about the status of immigrant children at the border. My guess is that he hasn't really considered what the Trump policy involved compared to Biden's, he's just upset about what he's told to be upset about.
