Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

It was widely covered how he spoke differently to different groups. More than likely it was more critically covered in the press Beerman frequents than what I read which is why it's way under my radar as barely a blip.

I think I'm the same. My "professional voice" with patients and in meetings is much different than my everyday hanging with the work crew and friends voice.

Perhaps, but I'll let the facts come out and I don't conspiracy theory much. I would think if DeSantis was involved in his sex life the same people investigating Gaetz would be going after him.
DeSantis is the man to watch so if he can be brought down he certainly will be because he's the leader in the "without Trump on the ballot" choice for President polls.
Hope you enjoyed your family time.

I think you are correct, Beermans preferred media likely made the difference in Obama's speaking style a topic of discussion. They likely pointed out that he sounded more black to their viewers.
As an aside, in early American history white males developed a pattern of policing how voices should sound and women and people of color were most often criticized for the sound of their voices. Women were instructed in making their voices deeper so that they didn't sound so harpy or hysterical or something, blacks were encouraged to learn to sound white. Sounding a certain way started to matter more after the telephone got into most homes.

How true. "Sounding black" shouldn't be anything worthy of criticism. I remember channel surfing years ago and Tyra Banks was lecturing a potential model on her show America's Top Model for sounding too ghetto in a mock commercial. It's sad that she was telling her that in order for her to make it she needed to sound white.

I don't trust anything republicans say!
Trump is trying to emulate Caesar and turn our Republic into a dictatorship. He's not in Gaul and there's no Rubicon to cross, only a Cuban named Rubio ??. Actually bad comparison. Caesar was a great man and he actually did good dissolving that corrupt Republic. But I still don't want a dictatorship. I like democracy,
The fact is that they have lied so much about everything, why should I believe anything they say?
......Lindsey Graham. Should I believe him at any given time? Although, I was amused when he was interviewed smashingly drunk in an airport. Biden may be "overly optimistic" about some of his financial calculations - above my paygrade. But he doesn't lie outright knowing that his supporters will eat his lies up. All I know about finances is that people who are put to work have to pay taxes and that making a lot of money is no reason not to pay taxes.

Don't you think Graham is lying about Trump? He said after 010621 that it was a hell of a ride but it's over...now he's saying they can't grow the party without trump. With Trump they lost the popular vote twice, the white house, the House and the Senate. That's not exactly the image of growth or winning. So all of that is a lie.
Why are republicans lying about Trump? Why are republicans lying about election integrity? Will there ever be another American election where the conservative voters trust the results...especially if the Republican candidate loses?

You can look at minimum wage, but if my tax dollars are spent on able bodied people that can work, that doesn't sit well with me. I hate to take away their incentive and return to a lower paying job but they need to go back to work.
I think the meme of able bodied people preferring to stay home and collect unemployment is a false flag. Do some people abuse the system? Of course, but there are multiple reasons for people not returning, and they vary from region to region. In my area, childcare is a huge barrier. Schools are not completely open, and we continue to have positive cases meaning children and their care takers have to isolate/quarantine 10 to 14 days with each occurrence. And lot of the minimum wage jobs are part-time with no benefits. Gee, if I'm a single mom with three kids part-time at Burger Queen do I say good bye to 1/3 of my paycheck and pray nobody gets sick?
I don't want my tax dollars going to pay jacka**es like Gaetz, Boebert, Gym Jordan and MTG, but many in congress are working hard to make this a better country.

Me thinks that Lindsay Graham speaks from the bottle at this point. I'm not sure he even knows what spews forth from his mouth. With Rudy and Donald sidetracked by lawsuits, I don't know if they will ever be able to summon their black shirts back (whew) in the numbers that they had before the election. If the Republican party insists on augering into the ground, auger on, idiots. The liars must believe that they will benefit from their lies and I think that they just want to be richer and believe that Trump will do that for them. You know, the crowd that isn't happy being a multi-millionaire; they want to be billionaires. But it must difficult for them to validate their value as a person since, regardless of what they have, it's just never enough. It does vex me why people would lie for anyone in such an outrageous, public fashion - totally content to make fools of themselves in front of a, just barely, more reasonable public. Who would be content to be a toady? Only people in it for the money. Look how rich loathsome Mitch McConnell became after being a Senator.
