Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

FWIW, I mask outside as well if I’m interacting with others. I’m 71 years old, work in LTC where we had an outbreak (more than half our census died) last fall and am not fully vaccinated yet. Too many Covididiots around, courtesy of wingnut media, so will keep my mask, thank you!

So ... Any more thoughts on the subject of why people are not jumping at the chance to earn minimum wage in lousy working conditions? From what little I’ve read, the Big Crunch is in service industries like restaurants (especially fast food) and the gig economy.

The interesting philosophical question here is why it’s not only ethical but downright noble (from a libertarian viewpoint) for wealthy individuals, both individual and corporate, to act in their own financial self-interest, yet somehow immoral for working-class and low income people to do the same? They’re only imitating their “betters”, after all.

 You're not fully vaccinated,  so your situation is not the same.

"Follow the science"....what does it say about fully vaccinated folks outdoors?  And, how about fully vaccinated married people who live together?  They need to wear a mask around each other?

Show me where most available jobs are minimum wage.  They are not.

No, it's not immoral for those to act in their self interest.   But, for how long should they keep acting that on the backs of those who are working?

Really they are just role modeling what they think is good and desirable behavior.  Not everyone is vaccinated so the current recommendations is to wear a mask.  But yeah it does seem silly to be kissing your spouse outside while both of you are vaccinated.  But it also seems petty to label this "propaganda"  or even to take notice of it, but I do agree the current administration has their own way of promoting their agenda.  

Had they not worn masks conservative media would have been all over that calling them hypocrites. Because pro-mask people were all over anti-maskers and people attending Trump rallies without a mask.   Fox News did this to the stars attending the Oscars even though they were spaced apart.   

Either way they can't win.  

In other related news Fauci is saying it might even be time to revisit indoor mask mandates (which we don't have in Florida).  Didn't see this covered on Fox.

This is what gets your panties in a wad?  Is keeping the message on wearing a mask such a heinous idea?  With all the hell we've been through this past year, this is what you are focused on?  Is this all the far right has to offer us in ideas?  Nancy Pelosi wore a mask OUTSIDE!!!  Let's get the thought police right on it!!!

Here's the rub...covidiots look exactly like unmasked vaccinated people...unless they're wearing their Trump merchandise, then they look like covidiots. Here in Alaska, lots of Trump loving people have been maskless from the beginning, that generally means to avoid them.

I go to N Carolina quite often to see an ex girlfriend who is in the military at Fort Bragg and so many people down there actually have their own version of history that is so distorted to suit their beliefs. They have rewritten history in the south, so why won't they rewrite current events? The twilight zone is alive and well in the GOP supporters world.

They even use gaslighting as a moniker to be proud of. They even lie about being republicans! It's got nothing to do with reduced taxes or small govt or freedoms. It is a means to suppress abortions and enslave women, restrict minorities and rationalize their criminal behaviors with a dumb voter population and a way to support their evil needs.

I disagree.  This behavior just gives the anti vaxxers or hesitators ammunition. They say why get vaccinated if we still have to wear a mask everywhere we go.
