Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

This is such an unhinged thread. I can only speculate as to why the moderators are allowing it to fester. Y'all people, every one of you are posting crazy here.
Ai contraire... this is tame compared to some threads I’ve read on other sites. And I barely skim the surface. Talk about hard core crazy!
So, what’s on your mind?

I think you meant to say "Was it stoking doubt when Harris said she wouldn't take the vaccine if Trump puts it out?"
First, what she actually said was that if it was only Trump, and not the administration's health officials, that were backing the vaccine then she wouldn't take it, a reference to Trump's frequent contradictions of his own health experts.
But I agree with you, at least in that she whiffed when giving this answer, she should have more carefully worded it knowing that there are those who will go out of their way to misunderstand what she said, similar to your interpretation.
I don't disagree though that the Trump administration deserves credit for helping facilitate the quick development of vaccines. Typically this credit would also go to the President since all he really has to do is just let the experts do their thing, and don't intentionally try to screw things up. But even when the bar for getting credit is simply being inert, he couldn't even manage to do that.
Aside from making opposition to anything recommended by health experts a political trait, which has now translated into an opposition to vaccines among republicans, he certainly could have done a better job in picking the single most important role in overseeing the development, distribution, and administration of vaccines. Normally, this 'pandemic/vaccine czar' would have extensive experience in overseeing large administrative initiatives and coordinating multiple levels of governments and agencies. Instead, the person he hired for this job got the job because they are married to his daughter. That's impressively negligent incompetence. I'm not sure how much credit that should get you.

I have to disagree here with Trump receiving any congrats. Having a reasonable amount of education re how Merck and GSK does vaccine development because of my father's business, it is a complicated process that involves numerous depts. Now here's the SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION.
It's very possible that neither companies actually was involved in the vaccine development. Both companies, business models are to acquire privately held research and they have actually reduced their R&D depts significantly! They concentrate on the marketing and production after acquiring smaller companies. I have actually toured both GSK and Merck, just outside of Philadelphia accompanying my Dad who represented a small company headed by someone from Dupont in their lycra division. He left and formed his own company and was subsequently sued by Dupont for proprietary rights. The trial was in Wilmington Delaware. They lost and had to settle.
Trump had absolutely nothing to do with the vaccines and neither did Biden, but Biden does know govt and Delaware and he would have lit a fire under their bums.

I already answered your first question, or I thought I did. No she did not and she and Biden praised the vaccine that came out during the Trump administration.
You claim this thread is unhinged but you completely changed the subject contributing to it becoming unhinged, so you don't get to point the finger.
Since you're wondering why the moderators are allowing this thread to continue, I would also like to point out that by saying every one of us are posting crazy here, you made a personal attack which according to the Terms of Service you agreed to are not allowed.
You unhinge the thread and make a personal attack. You're in the midst of the mudslinging but don't seem to see that, so I'm happy to point that out for you. Look in the mirror.
Finally, as I said earlier and Heron also pointed out, this thread is tame and mild compared to some of the crazy unhinged threads we've had here over the years. LOL

It's interesting that so many people are newly concerned about presidential behavior or speech. Only interesting because it is so obviously a ploy to divide Americans and create a sense of anxiety among the targeted audience. I am continually saddened by the sheer number of Americans who have adopted this dangerous political propaganda as their own ideology and reality. Large swaths of people are steeping in hyper-partisan misrepresentations and an alarming number of them are sucked into a whirlpool of conspiracy theories and Qrazy thinking.
This crazy thinking is everywhere. My brother in the midwest just recently said some crazy crap to me about the pandemic, vaccines, etc. He's a college educated upper middle class white guy.
This is a very dangerous time in our country...when reasonable people can be convinced to do unreasonable things that are against their self interest. Especially when the convincing is all founded in lies, is it dangerous. Have you ever wondered why the USA, the most powerful nation on the globe has no role in the Biblical end times? Perhaps it's because the USA doesn't survive it's 21st century fascination with a corrupt psychopath and the political party that propped him up.

It's not a matter of who is more articulate.
The concern should be that our current president's mental acuity is in decline. Not the first time he's referred to Harris as president. And he's fumbled other names recently, his wife finished sentences, etc.
For those who put the blame on his stuttering, go back and look at speeches he's made in the past.
Folks here seem unable to concede that this is a concern. I'd bet my paycheck that other world leaders are certainly keeping a eye on this. And even those in the Democratic party are too, even if they don't publicly acknowledge it.

All mature married couples finish each other's sentences. People with very crowded minds need prompters sometimes because they are trying to think and retreive at the same time. Negotiation is rote to him.

Again, this new found interest in speech patterns and garbled messaging is interesting. Do you wonder why you were so blind to the obvious indicators of Trump's disqualifying flaws now that you are imagining them everywhere? I do. I also wonder if you would like to make similar comparisons of previous verbal capacity for Trump, you know, look at some of his earlier interviews compared to his recent disasters...or maybe your concern is simply evidence that the right wing propaganda is working.
What are the odds?
