Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

If you are referring to the discussion between Subee and myself, then as I reread it I have to agree with you and should not have taken it to the level I did.
Respect for US citizens. ... President Biden orders federal offices to fly flags at half staff
A Proclamation on Honoring the Victims of the Tragedy in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area
QuoteAs a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on March 16, 2021, in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, March 22, 2021
Need to get this legislation thru the Senate:
I for one, am grateful that our president is concentrating on his role as chief executive and getting government working again. He is getting his cabinet in place, working on foreign relations, and facilitating COVID-19 recovery.
I suppose some people are disappointed that he has not engaged in the Dr. Seuss or Potato Head controversy.

The disappointment is almost palpable.

Not to mention that he is spot on IMHO in regards to China and wants to avoid weakening any push back we are giving them. If the Chinese threatened to close Ivanka's shoe factories, I don't know what would have happened:) I am very interested in seeing how the problem with Taiwan will be handled because that is particularly scary but he does have smart and experienced people appointed unlike the last administration who had cabinet ministers feeding off the trough.

Not sure what you are talking about here but I'm assuming immigration and I haven't read any ideas from you what to do., especially with the non-accompanied children. Not. one. idea.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris plan to visit with Asian-American leaders in Atlanta
Quote“Given the tragedy in Georgia on Tuesday night, President Biden and Vice President Harris will postpone the evening political event in Georgia for a future date,” officials announced in a news release. “During their trip to Atlanta, they will instead meet with Asian-American leaders to discuss the ongoing attacks and threats against the community, meet with other local leaders, and also visit the Centers for Disease Control to receive an update from the team of health and medical experts helping lead the fight against the pandemic.”

The entire exchange had a pedantic vibe to it...the insurrection included a considerable amount of visual symbols of several right wing extremist groups. There's no question that nazi type fascists were represented among those violent Trump supporters. The question of whether or not a swastika specifically was displayed seems related but not central to the intent of the fascists...to seize control and overthrow an election.
I wonder though, if there had been more offensive symbols might senator Johnson have felt a tiny bit threatened by the mob?
