Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

Like I said, an interesting interpretation.
"Pressure is mounting on President Joe Biden to hold a solo press conference after he has set a modern-day record of 42 days without holding one.
Even left-wing publications like CNN are calling out Biden for his lack of transparency, with host Jake Tapper tweeting: [CNN reporter Kevin Liptak] notes that an analysis of the past 100 years shows President Biden’s 15 most recent predecessors all held a formal solo press conference within 33 days of taking office. Biden has not and it’s day 42.”

Gosh...the pearl clutching was almost too much for me. And the opinion of the republicans about this matter was important nuance for those who are outraged by the "lack of transparency". Ben Shapiro really has you locked up as a fan, it seems.
What was the longest stretch between white house press briefings during the Trump administration...was it 300 or 400 days?

Yes, you mentioned bureaucracy is a big reason those sites weren't used. Is he not part of that? Does he not have the power to remove elements of bureaucracy?
Anyway, he has denied covid patients had to go to nursing homes. He contradicts your theory that they needed "remediation now".
Assuming they indeed did need to send nursing home patients out, there are plenty of options. More field hospitals, use hotels, cruise ships, schools, govt office buildings, etc. Its not rocket science.
duh. I sent you a lengthy Snopes reports on why SHIPS, FIELD Hospitals didn't work. No Cuomo can't control the military - he does not have that authority. Hotels were occupied by hospital staffers. Government office buildings are government office buildings and have to stay open to actually........run the government. Do you know how few bathrooms are in government office buildings?:) The field hospitals weren't even used in Detroit because by the time they got set up, they weren't needed. 39 patients were admitted to the Detroit field hospital before it closed. Do you think they just open a box and the army just jumps out of the box with everything they need (in one box) and opens up a field hospital the next day, the next week? For a multitude of reasons, these options didn't work out. Again, Detroit's hotels were filled with health care workers.

Why?
Have you qualified your expertise on any of the subjects that you share partisan nonsense about? The answer is no, you haven't. But apparently you require things from others that you don't require from yourself or from Trump or republican politicians.
Why is this fundamental hypocrisy so difficult for conservatives to identify? My guess is indoctrination is why.

I think it's just about impossible to have a substantive discussion by employing talking points you normally see from sources who's job it is to stir the pot, fire up the base, etc. That is not limited to either party. Tweets from Ronna McDaniel aren't meant to inspire thoughtful dialogue. To say that Joe Biden is "afraid" of a press conference, or a teacher's union is just a silly non-starter to me.
Now on to general discussion of toys and cancel culture! I too became acquainted with Mister Potato Head when he was a real potato, so for us the question is kind of moot. Potatoes are self-pollinating, and thus never had a specific gender identity in the first place.
The larger question to me is why these seemingly irrelevant topics cause grown up people to become so angry? We must add puppets and whimsical drawings to the "never bring that up" list, I guess. I mention that because I discovered the toy kerfuffle when I saw this slightly edited FB post from my brother, finally sent over the edge by the Dr. Suess thing. He's 52 years old.
"If someone told you they would like to 'cancel' your childhood and all your fond memories...what would you say to them? My guess is something that might end with the word YOU but not start with the word THANK.
This sh** is getting really old."
Not a terribly unusual sentiment, I've discovered. I felt the same when Tucker Carlson and Tammy Bruce expressed their outrage over a Scottish coffee shop deciding to label their "gingerbread men" as "gingerbread people". It's a cookie. On a different continent.
.I don't get it.

There is no real conservative policy for the right wing media to talk about but they need to keep their customers riled up. That doesn't leave much for them to report on except these culture war fabrications and histrionics. There's only so many ways they can whine about legislation that the congressional republicans won't collaborate on and won't support (for purely political reasons) so they create angst wherever they can. Conservative media has a very toxic and dishonest bend to it right now. IMV

Fox News today has 12 stories about Cuomo. That seems high on the news agenda there. That along with the "out of control" situation at the border.
However, there is plenty of conservative policy. Some successful ones were the tax cuts, cutting regulations, and immigration chaos. Now for some reason they've adding spending and worry about the deficit to the agenda. So now they are in the minority their policy is protect what they've accomplished and convince Americans liberals are hell bent on destruction and "canceling" the American way of life.
Not unlike what Democrats claimed when they were minority.
This doesn't bother me as much as it's rhetoric. What bothers me more is false narrative and conspiracy. It bothers me that politicians like Trump weren't held accountable for lying to the public. It now seems standard method of operation. Our Governor in his bid for re-election texted the lie to donors that Biden was planning on closing the Florida border. People that believe news is fake sure are gullible when it comes to politicians.
