For those of us who have already taken boards, please answer a few questions that might help ease the minds of those who are still waiting to test or for results. I know reading as much as possible about other people's experience helped me feel a little bit better while I waited.
1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX?
2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course?
3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)?
4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?
5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?
6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX?

1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX? 75
2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course? I took Kaplan but used Saunders CD. I think Kaplan was a waste of my time.
Saunders CD helped me review content.

4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?
2 long long long days. I had access to quick results. If I had to do it over, I would try to focus on the fact I was done with the test and no amount of worrying would change my results. I wasted 2 days of my life stressing about the stupid thing. Pass or fail, there is no point stressing about it.
5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? I was shocked the blue screen of death showed up at 75. I was upset cause I thought that is what all my work in nursing school came to? This stupid 75 questions! I felt like a someone was playing a sick joke on me. Then I remembered all the questions I got wrong. Then I thought I did not get enough priority. I still don't know a single answer I got correct.
6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX? 1st attempt. I passed. Took it almost 3 weeks ago and still don't know how I passed. I still think the BON will call me and say they made a mistake.
Good luck to anyone who has to take it. Don't stress after you finish
