I wanted to share this information because just last night I was frantically searching for it myself and couldn't find anything current. The date today is 2/10/16. I took NCLEX yesterday and I know I passed because my name is listed as having an active license from the state. However, the Pearson Vue Trick did not work for me! Even right now, knowing that I passed, it is still letting me register for a new test!
So, if it lets you register please do not rely on this alone! You still may have passed!
I hope this is helpful to someone who is out there thinking they failed because the almighty Pearson Vue Trick didn't work for them!
For all of the folks who are frantic after taking the NCLEX, because you tried the PVT and it did not work? Just wait it out. I did the PVT after taking the NCLEX on 02/13/16. It was going to let me pay. I then was a nervous wreck! The best thing to do is wait. Easier said than done, but I don't care what anyone says, IT DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK!! I received my results on 02/15/16 and I had passed. I hope this helps someone.

Since August 2014 EVERYONE goes to the payment screen. You must submit a payment and risk a charge to attempt to get a pop up that may or may not be accurate
Congrats! I made a post about this awhile back as well. I took my NCLEX in September and used that trick, and kept frantically checking the entire weekend waiting on results. Luckily my state participates in quick results so I only had to wait 2 days.
The trick worked the first time I tried it but not after that.
I wish people would stop encouraging this trick to be used. And they would stop dissecting how it works and what time frame you have to do in, etc... THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW FOR SURE IS TO GET YOUR RESULTS. Its nerve wracking enough to spend years in nursing school, study your butt off for NCLEX, you take NCLEX and somehow survive without giving yourself an aneurysm, then have to spend days wondering if you passed. NEW GRADS DO NOT NEED PEOPLE ENCOURAGING THEM TO BELIEVE AN UNRELIABLE TRICK IS THE END ALL OF PASS/FAIL ON TOP OF ALL THAT... No one does.
Sorry about the rant, I'm not directing it anyone in particular. The subject just gets me going. We are nurses, we are smart individuals who know how to critically think. Instead of encouraging each other to rely on a trick or figure out how said trick works, we should be lifting each other up and helping these students know their material so they can pass without a doubt
Just wanted to update. I posted earlier about not getting the good pop up and it taking me all the way to CC card page--letting me enter my info, etc. The exam shut off at 85 questions (the minimum for PN). I was really worried. My quick results were up this weekend. My boyfriend read the results for me since I was too chicken....and I PASSED! I PASSED! I PASSED! so NO the trick doesn't work "all the time" and is not 100% accurate

The trick didn't work for you because you didn't do it. You are supposed to see the "CC card page" and enter the requested information, then hit submit. The good popup mentions "you've recently scheduled this exam". The bad popup is when your credit card is charged/declined. If you did not enter CC information and submit the order, you did not attempt the trick.
Hi, I also took the NCLEX RN yesterday at 8am. The screen cut off at 75 questions and I KNEW I failed. Well I'm in TN and they haven't updated the BoN page today, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow for Pearson Vue quick results. But I did try the trick and I got the good pop up today around noon. I hope that's a good indicator that I passed (diligently praying)!!!
I used a good maxed credit card with little available credit, so I knew the charge wouldn't go through and pressed the submit button, then I got the message "Our records indicate that you have already scheduled this exam"!
I'll try to get some sleep tonight and hopefully be able to pay for the quick results in the morning!!
Yes it attempted to charge me but I put in the wrong information. I attempted the trick pre and post 24 hours. It has tried to take my payment every time, I never got the "good pop up."I am 100% sure my state board of nursing has me, at my zip code, listed as having an active RN license as of today (took test yesterday) along with an assigned license number. Only saying this for the people who are going to come on here and tell me I'm wrong.
FYI--I'm in Pennsylvania if you want to try this yourself for results before 24 hours. Just google "PA state board of nursing license verification" I took my test at 2 PM on a Tuesday and my name was listed by Wednesday morning around 11 AM.
This helps, I tested today Feb 16th at 2 pm it shut off at 85 and I cant rest until I know. I'm now looking forward to checking tomorrow
