Pearson Vue Trick Feb 2016

Published

I wanted to share this information because just last night I was frantically searching for it myself and couldn't find anything current. The date today is 2/10/16. I took NCLEX yesterday and I know I passed because my name is listed as having an active license from the state. However, the Pearson Vue Trick did not work for me! Even right now, knowing that I passed, it is still letting me register for a new test!

So, if it lets you register please do not rely on this alone! You still may have passed!

I hope this is helpful to someone who is out there thinking they failed because the almighty Pearson Vue Trick didn't work for them!

I just took the NCLEX-RN yesterday in Michigan Friday on a 02/12/16 and got done with the test after 5PM. I tried the pearson vue trick but it let me get as far as the registration page where you enter the credit card information. I only tried it once about 5 hours after I took the test and I never went any further than that page. I didn't enter in any payment information to get to the next page. I am hoping from what I've heard on this comment thread that the "Good popup" doesn't happen for everyone even when they have passed. Trying not to get discouraged.

As of 2014, the trick involves entering credit card information and then submitting the order. The following screen should show something like "youve schedule the exam already" (passed) or take your money or show declined if you use a visa gift card with 0 balance. (fail)

Technically you have to enter all the correct information. I changed the expiration date and it didn't take my card. When I entered all the right information I got the "good popup." I thought I failed because it said they couldn't process my card. I still wouldn't recommend people to even bother with the PVT, though. Congrats on passing!

Please post when you get your results, a lot of people from my school have taken their exam weeks ago and have not heard anything. California BRN is sloowoowowoww.

I got my license number this morning, two days after taking the NCLEX, in California.

To do the trick, you have to actually submit payment info. It's not whether or not it lets you get to that form, it's what happens when you submit it.

Nice, I assumed they didnt work on the weekends.

seeing as how there are no complaints about being charged $200, I can't help but think this is another PVT experience done incorrectly

Hi guys,

Thank goodness for this forum! I have been going crazy waiting for my results! I took the exam in CA on 2/11/16. Got ~160 questions, and was feeling awful about the exam. Which sucks, because I did all of the Kaplan prep, and was scoring high on all of their practice exams and Q Bank. It seemed like my questions were all priority "who do you see first", SATAs (many of them 5-6 in a row).

I did the PVT trick using an expired card. Got the good pop up "Our records indicate that the candidate has already registered for an exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." Have checked back at 24, 48, and 72 hours, and am still getting the good pop up. This wait is driving me bonkers. I am so nervous about whether I passed or not. I can't believe that CA doesn't participate in quick results, especially since they are so backed up with applications and processing times.

Although it seems from what I'm reading and from what my classmates have experienced, if you do the PVT right (expired card, SUBMIT payment) and you get the pop-up I mentioned above, you have passed. If you get the "on hold" pop up, they are rechecking your exam for disprepencies, or dealing with an issue with the testing center. If after you hit SUBMIT payment, and it declines your card, you have failed. Fingers crossed! I just wanna pass!

PVT is 99% accurate. Relax you passed :)

I wouldn't say it is that accurate.

Also the "on hold" message hasn't been in use since ~2014 I think.

Not true. On hold message appears whenever an incident report has been filed triggering a QA/QC audit of the test, checkin/out, audio, video, keystrokes, etc
