Pearson Vue Trick Feb 2016
Hi guys, Thank goodness for this forum! I have been going crazy waiting for my results! I took the exam in CA on 2/11/16. Got ~160 questions, and was feeling awful about the exam. Which sucks, because I did all of the Kaplan prep, and was scoring high on all of their practice exams and Q Bank. It seemed like my questions were all priority "who do you see first", SATAs (many of them 5-6 in a row). I did the PVT trick using an expired card. Got the good pop up "Our records indicate that the candidate has already registered for an exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." Have checked back at 24, 48, and 72 hours, and am still getting the good pop up. This wait is driving me bonkers. I am so nervous about whether I passed or not. I can't believe that CA doesn't participate in quick results, especially since they are so backed up with applications and processing times. Although it seems from what I'm reading and from what my classmates have experienced, if you do the PVT right (expired card, SUBMIT payment) and you get the pop-up I mentioned above, you have passed. If you get the "on hold" pop up, they are rechecking your exam for disprepencies, or dealing with an issue with the testing center. If after you hit SUBMIT payment, and it declines your card, you have failed. Fingers crossed! I just wanna pass!

Took my NCLEX today, stopped at 160ish questions, just need to vent.
Just got out of the NCLEX, and am feeling quite awful. I came home and just bawled. I got ~160 questions, and even thought I had meticulously prepared and done everything Kaplan had suggested and was scoring well on all of their practice exams, I feel like I failed NCLEX. I kept getting questions that had topics that I had never heard of. I had a ton of priority questions, a tons of SATAs, and a bunch of meds that I had never heard of. I was in the top of my class in nursing school, and I literally can't believe how hard that test was. I'm sure I failed.

NCLEX 2016 Experience with Kaplan scores (Passed in 78 questions!)
Hi there! Hoping to get some feedback on my scores! Here they are: QT #1: 45.3% (Totally failed because I hadn't had the preparation class yet, and was tired when I took it). QT #2: 58.7% QT #3: 54% QT#4: 60.7% QT#5: 54% QT#6: 57% QT#7: 57% Readiness: 64% Completed 75% of the Q Bank with an average of 62%. I have watched all of the Kaplan videos and remediated every question and took notes on anything I didn't understand from every test, including the Q Bank. The questions I'm getting wrong are ones I am second-guessing myself on. I am testing on 2/11/16, and would appreciate some feedback! Really nervous! Thanks!

SFSU BSN Fall 2014 Applicants
Hey all, I am a current Level I at SFSU (main campus) pursuing my BSN, and am the Level I, II, and III Representative for the Nursing Student Association. Congratulations to all of you that got accepted into the program! For all of those wait listed, keep the faith! For Fall 2013, they went into the 100's! I just wanted to drop by and answer any questions that you have about the program. The school will be hosting an orientation and NPrep session in early-mid August to answer questions and let you get a feel for the program. Congrats again!

SFSU Spring 2014 Cohort
Hey guys! Thanks for responding! healthnut09 that is beyond exciting, and such a blessing for you! I believe the mandatory orientation is on December 3rd, but I would call the office to ask if you need to do anything else before then. Lame, I managed to find free parking, but you're right, it's super flu by like 7:30am and it's far away! Milkpearl, I believe they did remove the senior preceptorship, however they are required by the state licensing board to have us fulfill a minimum number of hours before we can sit for the exam, so I'm assuming that they have just worked more clinical hours into our semester schedule to compensate. :)

SFSU Spring 2014 Cohort
Hi future fellow classmates! I am sooo beyond excited (can barely contain myself!) to start SFSU's nursing program in January 2014! I also can't wait to meet all of you! I created this group so that we could get to know each other and ask questions before the big orientation day in October. A few questions I have so far: 1) What's the deal with parking? Is there no semester permit you can purchase? It seems like we might have to get a daily permit ($6.00/day!). 2) Does anybody live in the redwood city area/would anyone be willing to commute if we have the same schedule? 3) I've started the Metrology book, and boy is it tedious! LOL Mary-Elizabeth :)
