  1. Does any one have an idea of what a competitive candidate looks like? I understand that you would need at least a 3.7 GPA but what are some other aspects that are sought after in Air Force NTP applicants? I would assume that prior military experience would be an advantage.
  2. Thank you very much! @jfratian
  3. The answer you're looking for is on the first page of this thread.
  4. Hey everyone it looks like there are two different threads for this year's NTP. I just finished my CN interview and my health professions recruiter has sent in my packet. Does anyone have an idea of how many applicants will be applying this year and how many spot are available? Based upon previous threads it looks like there are usually 5 spots for OB and 30-35 for Medsurg with almost 300-400 applicants. That's ridiculously competitive.
  5. Ok, well it would have been helpful if FY was defined in the opening paragraph to those who do not have the background knowledge on the military. I read the previous that I commented on and thank you for the tips regarding the interview. I wonder how many applicants will be applying and how many spots will be open for this year. I read in previous threads that it ranged from 35-50 spots and almost 300 applicants.
  6. I'll be applying for this upcoming selection board. I had a few questions. What does FY mean and why is the year 2018? If the selection board is in July, won't we be in COT in the fall? Also, I have my Air Force Recruiter interview coming up soon. Does any one have any tips for me?

  8. Yeah, definitely do the background test and get the shot list out of the way. Eva already sent us the book list too.
  9. Congrats! There's a meet and greet on Aug. 7 and the nursing orientation is on Sept. 12. The only thing you missed was the new student orientation but we basically just got general info, runner card, and registration for classes. Nursing students don't have to attend the registration because we're automatically enrolled for Fall quarter. Also, you should join the "CSUB Nursing 2017" page on Facebook!
  10. If you guys RSVP'd for the BLS CPR class after the meet and greet day, I suggest you get the book on Amazon or Ebay for half the price than it is from the site that Eva sent us (Find American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, PALS, Heartsaver, and Other Course Materials and Training Products at Channing Bete Company)
  11. What's the club for?
  12. I can't seem to find the CSUB Nursing 2017 page on Facebook...
  13. Can you guys access the Nursing Student Handbook? I can't seem to open it. Nursing Student Handbook | California State University, Bakersfield
  14. does that mean there are 66 others in front of you or does that mean you're 7th in line? because if they only accept 60 students, then you're 7th on the wait list or is the the former, that there are 66 others in front of you?
  15. how are you guys looking for housing?
