I understand where you are coming from. Thankfully my husband has a job that is needed on most aircraft (hydraulics). I'm still talking with the recruiter about certain things and one is whether I should wait and just come as FQ once we get back to the states. I'm still in the beginning stages obviously. It's very discouraging as it is being taken away from a career that I love for a few years!

I do have good grades and held many leadership roles while in school and I'm on a couple of honor societies. I already know the military lifestyle and 5.5 wks and 3 months is nothing to me. One of the bases listed for the residency program is lakenheath--we don't want to stay in England so any stateside base would be fine. I have taken ACLS and PALS thanks to the military and being in the ER.

Hi! I'm on the fence. I never wanted to do med surg-But I'm not picky at this point given my situation :/ I graduated nursing school and my husband received orders to England! So we're still here until 2018. It's been heartbreaking to me for sure. I had my "dream" job offered and and I had to leave it behind. So yea not sure which path I want at the moment. I have to talk to an overseas recruiter who is stateside and he's horrible about replying! I keep emailing him and he'll say they've had server issues etc so I understand but it's like on going so I'm a little annoyed about it all.

I need to edit my post it would be for 2018 year. As the applications are due feb and they select June-ish time frame. If getting a job her in england was that easy I would have one already. Not to be rude but you cannot assume they have a ton of open jobs as they do not. It's mainly active duty. I do volunteer with the Redcross in the ER on base and there is even a waiting list for that! I got lucky and was selected pretty quickly. Do you think I wanted to come to England right after graduation to just sit here and not be able to work? No that was not my choice. Trust me I worry about it everyday!!!

Hi! Sorry to jump in on this thread but I'm looking to apply for NTP this year but I guess it would been FY 2018. I'm in the early stages (talking with a recruiter) anyone know where to find more info out about the different career tracks to take? Ie ob, medsurg, or OR? Long story short we got stationed in England right after I graduated nursing school. We have just over a year left here so I thought the NTP would be a great start for me! My interest are mainly critical care either peds or adult or even the ER. I was a tech in an adult ICU and had a job lined up there and we had to move í ½í¸© I'm not sure which path to take now, any tips? Thanks!

Hello, I saw that a lot of people talked about the USAF NTP 2017; looking for anyone who is applying for the 2018 year? And any information from those who have previously completed the program! Thanks!
