Pearson Vue Trick Feb 2016

Published

I wanted to share this information because just last night I was frantically searching for it myself and couldn't find anything current. The date today is 2/10/16. I took NCLEX yesterday and I know I passed because my name is listed as having an active license from the state. However, the Pearson Vue Trick did not work for me! Even right now, knowing that I passed, it is still letting me register for a new test!

So, if it lets you register please do not rely on this alone! You still may have passed!

I hope this is helpful to someone who is out there thinking they failed because the almighty Pearson Vue Trick didn't work for them!

Yep! what Kuriin said :)

here in MA, they actually took an extra ~6 days after quick results (so a little over a week from when I tested) before I actually got a license number. They outsource their credentialing to folks in TN. I did get a confirmation email when it was done, though, which was nice!

Every state is different in how it reports results. Im in AZ and as long as their isnt a hold placed on your results for some reason, they post to the AZBN license verification the next morning. Some people get their license numbers posted the same day and some wait a few days. Mine took 3 days from when the site updated that I passed NCLEX to post my license number. But multiple people in my class got passing results in the morning, then by afternoon had a license.

Just google search "(insert your state) RN license verification" and a link to your state BON license verification page should come up. If your state gives results quickly, then it will say if you passed or failed when you enter your name. If your state does not, then nothing will show up. For some states, their verification page will be faster. For other states, quick results will be faster. Then for other states, you wait like a month or longer because they are both slow and do not participate in quick results.

hey I'm in california and i didn't pass my first time i am scheduled to test in 2 weeks. the first time i tested i knew i failed because the bon took my application down on breeze so it was empty only option to start a new application, i tried pvt with invalid card number and it declined (bad pop up) and i tried about 3 times my bank (chase) actually put a fraud alert on my card i had to go to the bank to clear things up it was embarrassing lol so if you can wait, just don't do the trick it almost makes you more anxious than you were before because your just wondering if its true and not always it is.

oh and my application was taken down from breeze the next day. also my friend said they update licenses on tuesdays don't know if thats true. i tested on a tuesday and my app was taken down the next day

anyone recently test from CA?!?! i took my test on Saturday, Feb 6. I tried the PVT and got the "good" pop up....BUT still nothing is posted!! the wait is horrible :(

Please post when you get your results, a lot of people from my school have taken their exam weeks ago and have not heard anything. California BRN is sloowoowowoww.

I've tried Uworld (when they had the free week trials) Bought the NCLEX Mastery app, ATI Mentor app, Kaplan qbank/trainers, ATI program (from school) Only one that comes even remotely close to what you will see on the nclex is Uworld. All of them are great for practice on nursing school exams and to reduce test taking anxiety, which in my opinion is key to do well on the boards. I took the exam for the 2nd time today and the way nclex formats and puts together their questions are like nothing you will see. They test your ability to "what are they asking me?" solving skills lol. Some are just straight up knowledge based. Others have more than one correct answer but you must be able to pick out the best and most prudent answer that answers the question. Last time I failed at 247 and I had every topic thrown at me (tons of peds and MH, management/leadership, priority) Today I got cut off @ 75Q and had maybe 1 MH, 8 drugs or so, no direct peds questions, 10 (-/+)SATAS, no math. It such a weird exam. Almost no one leaves thinking, "I nailed it!"

Last time I did the PVT trick 4 hours after the exam and got the "payment declined" on a valid VISA gift card and sure enough I had failed. This time with same gift card, I got the good pop up couple of hours after the exam. Fingers crossed!!!!!

I just took the NCLEX-RN yesterday in Michigan Friday on a 02/12/16 and got done with the test after 5PM. I tried the pearson vue trick but it let me get as far as the registration page where you enter the credit card information. I only tried it once about 5 hours after I took the test and I never went any further than that page. I didn't enter in any payment information to get to the next page. I am hoping from what I've heard on this comment thread that the "Good popup" doesn't happen for everyone even when they have passed. Trying not to get discouraged.
