I wanted to share this information because just last night I was frantically searching for it myself and couldn't find anything current. The date today is 2/10/16. I took NCLEX yesterday and I know I passed because my name is listed as having an active license from the state. However, the Pearson Vue Trick did not work for me! Even right now, knowing that I passed, it is still letting me register for a new test!
So, if it lets you register please do not rely on this alone! You still may have passed!
I hope this is helpful to someone who is out there thinking they failed because the almighty Pearson Vue Trick didn't work for them!
The "bad pop-up" is that it went ahead and attempted to process/processed a charge, rather than telling you there was an open registration. Whether tweaked dates in your card info work to protect you from actually being charged seems pretty inconsistent (maybe it depends on the bank/card provider?) from posts on here. And yes, the card does have to be current or the system won't attempt a charge regardless - but what I think people probably meant is an old card (i.e. that has been replaced/cancelled - so "expired" in that it's not active any more) but that the dates still look valid.
Ahhhh! I getchya now! Makes sense...thank you!
Just wanted to say thanks to CiaMia and JustBeachyNurse.
My hold resolved about an hour ago and I unofficially PASSED.
Thanks for your support and for sharing your knowledge.
I've been pulling my hair out this past week waiting for results, but now I'm so pleased to be over the NCLEX hurdle.
Now on to landing my first nursing job...
in order for it to work u have to enter your credit card information they changed it.... it still works complete everything make sure you hit submit twice (first and second page) will say do you want to confirm the order hit submit. They will not take your money if you passed. Either way if you failed it might as well sign up for another test date. ----just took my nclex
Same here,I'm from california I took mine on jan 15,2016.i tried the pearson vue trick,I put a wrong expiration date on my card and a message pop out that I have an invalid card,I did that from my previous test and I failed, all I know i failed again,so I was just waiting for the letter for reapplication, feb 20 I received the letter and it doesn't say that"congratulations you passed"like the other previous passer, what I have is "congratulation!!you met the requirements for licensure as a vocational nurse",I was confused and mixed emotions,i don't know if they change the reapplication form or what?? So,I'm still in the stage that,"did I passed?"but I claimed it.I PASSED!!!
