Nursing Students LPN-RN

I always thought they were only 2 semesters long, but after looking at some curriculums, it looks like a lot of them (at least in VA) are 4 semesters.

All the ones that I've heard of are 3 semesters long: spring, summer, fall. But it depends on your location and the school itself. Online programs are different in that they are self-paced, although I'm sure there are some that follow the same timing as traditional classrooms.

Mine is 11 months or 3 semesters I think it is once you finish the pre reqs.

Mine was exactly that. Which was also a calendar year. We started in early June and finished late May.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

The LPN-to-RN/ASN program that I attended was approximately 14 months long, from January 2009 until March 2010. I attended a trade school that did not have traditional semesters or quarters.

Mine is four semesters for the actual program itself. However before admittance one must complete all pre-req's, general education requirements( liberal arts courses, English, foreign language). So that part takes about two years. I begin my actual program this fall. So I will have my BSN in two years!!

Specializes in Home Health, Education.

My program is a year and two days, started May 20 of year, will graduate May 22 of next year. We have four terms of about 3 months each.

The one here is essentially a year. It spans 3 semesters, however, there are fall 1 and 2 terms and then spring 1 and 2, etc.
