Ok, this one hasn't been done in a while....

Looks like since last year. So, for those who didn't comment on the last thread like this (or who want to comment again) what made you pick your user name? Does it have some meaning, or is it just random? I am always curious about what they actually mean.

Mine is actually from my favorite movie "Army of Darkness".

i was in a cutting edge at the time hacker group that was into Commodore 64 and Amiga computers......i chose this name because even before the hacker group this was an elven mage I played in D&D back in the late 70's lol

Actually thinking of changing my username. Can't think of anything though

Having the same dilemma. There was a time when my whole family was really really into NASCAR, which was obviously the same time frame when I picked my user name. Now I have only a casual interest as time permits. I need a new name but I am not creative enough to pick something cool.

My ex husband used to call me nurselovejoy, 88 is the year I was born. Seriously thinking about changing it. Maybe to "iluvnursing" any suggestions ?

I think that would be a great name for you.....sorry bout the ex part....I have two of my own.....

When I first discovered allnurses, I was a pre-nursing student. I considered all kinds of quirky "student nurse" names, but then I thought, "Gee, these won't apply when I graduate. What WOULD apply?" Well...I'll always be learning...

I say "dude" a lot when talking to my two boys. But because I am a woman, I picked dudette and then added the 10 for the year I joined.

And, to reiterate my explanation in my previous post on this subject, it in no way describes any gender identity conflict on my part. I was born with a lady parts, and I'm satisfied with that fact.

it is very interesting to read all the meanings behind everyone's name.

here is mine...

I believe we have a choice to be either positive or negative.

I try to be positive in my daily life, so here is my name. :):nurse:

When I signed up for an account with AN.com I didn't realize my "sign in" was going to become my name for the board. It's a contraction for my daughters names- Susan and Dianna. My spouse and I use it for the password for a few on-line options. The problem being, I have a "y" chromosome (well- not with having the chromosome). Had I known it was going to be my "name" I would have chosen a bit more "macho" monicker.

Fav color + Fav critter = OrangeDragoness

a name I've been using online for nearly a decade now.

Mines just a joke. I'm pretty giant, but I'm not really a jerk... unless you ask my wife.

When I first started running EMS everyone kept saying, "aww, your so tiny". (I am 4'11 and 90 pounds soaking wet.) So, the nickname "Tiny" stuck. After 13 years I am known as Tiny in the EMS world. I even have a pink booster seat for in the ambulance when I drive. True story.

I picked EMT because I was, and still am, an EMT when I signed up for this website.

And grl=girl because I have a lady parts. :D
