Nurses Job Hunt
Published Sep 3, 2009
Does anyone know of any hospital that are currently hiring new grads without any experience? I graduated May '09, and it's so hard finding a job without experience. Thanks.

I am a recent graduate. While the area that I live is hiring, the pay scale is way below average. I decided that I wanted to move to Texas and filled out many online applications. I received many calls within 2 weeks or less. Areas that seemed to need nurses were of course, the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi Medical Center (HCA), San Antonio (Christus Santa Rosa, Methodist), and Temple, TX (Scott and White). Texas pays fairly well and does not have state nor county income taxes. I would hesitate to jump into a job that offers a huge sign on bonus, but there are hospitals that will pay for your move, and/or even pay to fly you in for an interview. PM me if you want more info. Good luck to everyone!

Is there anyone here who knows of a licensed agency who could help me look for a prospective employer hospital (pref gov't hosp) in Dubai or Abu Dhabi? I've been working as a staff nurse in a medical center here in the Philippines for more than 2 yrs already, and I think I have gained enough experience to move on with my career path. Your responses and help will be very much appreciated!
THank You!

The major hospitals in Oklahoma City (Univ. of Oklahoma Medical Center, Deaconess, Midwest City Regional, Saint Anthony's, Baptist, etc.) are hiring new grads.
The pay rates are rather low, but the cost of living in Oklahoma is also low.

The Cleveland clinic is building a hospital in Abu Dhabi... The last I heard they were still hiring.
I couldn't remember the website for the cleveland clinic earlier... I came home and found it for you... It looks like they hope to be open by 2012...

I just talked to a friend who got hired at the VA here in Albany, NY. He says they're hurting for RN's.

RNBelle, could you please name a few or a couple cities? I have never been to TX but I am interested. Do you know if they would offer assistance in moving such as trying to find me a place to stay or giving me extra $$ for the move?
I am pretty sure hospitals in Houston, Texas are hiring.
