Any hospital hiring new grads? anywhere in the country?

Published

Does anyone know of any hospital that are currently hiring new grads without any experience? I graduated May '09, and it's so hard finding a job without experience. Thanks.

They're always hiring here in Texas!

Where in Texas? Eagle pass by any chance?

From what I'm seeing in Memphis, Tennessee, 99% of hospitals are wanting experience for everything. That includes floor jobs too.

In a time when more nurses are going back to work due to the economy, employers can hold out and be more selective in an applicant.

Well, maybe they are hiring in Eagle Pass, but they are also hiring in DFW area, and I know I've heard they are hiring in Houston area. Sometimes into specialty areas. It's not as wide open as it was a couple of years ago, but there are jobs to had.

Atlantic Canada is hiring RN's, including new grads. If you are willing to relocate. My province requires BSN or BN as entry level education for practice now(or a program that, along with all the normal nursing education, includes extensive theoretical and clinical experience in community health nursing and mental health nursing). We are fairly short of RN's... :nurse:

University Medical Center, Tucson, Arizona. I work there and it is such a good teaching hospital.

How about in the Northeast?

Hi-

I heard that Johns Hopkins in Baltimore is expanding and might be hiring...I don't know if this is true or just a rumor. It would be worth checking it out.

I'm in Philadelphia, and occasionally hear of openings/hiring, but you have to be in the right place at the right time! It's good to try to make connections- most of the time it's who you know!

Don't bother with Michigan...no one is hiring there ha.
