I am on the nurse week committee planning activities this year. We are planning a scavenger hunt, when you find the item you will post your find to our Facebook page. I am considering having them "find" people from support departments It, environmental, good service ect. But what other things could i have them find? Or do?
My boyfriend is sitting here wondering what I'm laughing at. Some of these responses are great.
But, sorry OP, I have to agree with everyone else. Scrap the scavenger hunt. It's a terrible idea. I'd never participate in an event that requires me to post something on my employer's facebook page.
My last 2 jobs at least gave us relatively useful things for nurses' week- one job gave $25 Macy's gift cards every year (used them to buy wedding/shower gifts since people always register there) and the other gave me a Dunkin Donuts gift card (which every nurse in New England can use). But when I worked in the hospital it was stupid crap like everyone here has mentioned- we're making T-shirts for nurses' week, do you want to buy one? kind of stupid.
Skip the childish crap and do what my old hospital would do! Free luncheon/dinner, free massages, free mani/pedis, free "gifts" (usually lunch toate or something like that, but usually something useful), and an awards night. All of this was done IN THE HOSPITAL, so you didn't even have to travel for it.
A scavenger hunt, in my opinion, is to childish! These are adults, treat them as such!

At my hospital they changed "Nurses Week" to "Hospital Week" so nobody would feel left out.
