Nurse week, scavenger hunt

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I am on the nurse week committee planning activities this year. We are planning a scavenger hunt, when you find the item you will post your find to our Facebook page. I am considering having them "find" people from support departments It, environmental, good service ect. But what other things could i have them find? Or do?

Does anyone remember the CORN BAR that someome posted about one year, in a Nurse's Week thread? I'd honestly rather have a corn bar than a scavenger hunt !

I'd rather have a bar bar. Wait, does the corn come in a bottle?

Yes, it's documented in a song by Luke Bryan...

"Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey

Whiskey makes my baby, feel a little frisky"

"Corn don't grow at all on Rocky Top

Dirt's too rocky by far.

That's why all the folks on Rocky Top

Keep their corn in a jar"...:whistling:

Corn can be used to make moonshine!

What?! How'd I miss all this???!!! Whew, glad I went back again...corn bar...:cheeky::D:roflmao:

I'd rather have the pony ride than get a backpack (cup, lunch bag or ballpoint pen) with the hospital logo on it that all other departments also get so they won't be jealous that the nurses get all the recognition and xray or housekeeping get left out.

Oh, yeah, my favorite thing ever was when some corporate folk decided to make it "Hospital Week" so everyone got their recognition and they wouldn't have to stop to recognize each discipline's special week.

at my hospital they changed "nurses week" to "hospital week" so nobody would feel left out.

Happened to my place, too. I'm still so salty about it.

I had to google "corn bar." As in....what in the world?!

I can't even imagine.

There is no delicate way to eat COTC. Might as well serve in fancy troughs (decorated from Pinterest ideas, of course)! Dozens of nurses hunched over chomping on corn is a scene I would've gone out of my way to avoid. The only thing entertaining about "corn bar" would be when the happy ppl come around saying, "Have you had a chance to get to the corn bar???!!!!" and "The corn bar is open for Nurses' Week!!!! Make sure you get a chance to go up there!!!!!" I would enjoy saying, "Uh, NO."

Oh, see, now I accept "Hospital Week" no problem. It's 100% more honest. Any celebration is ultimately about them anyway.

Are you kidding me? The funny and I think sad part is some nurses are so, so eager to please and get a pat on the head they are probably tripping over each other to be included. Our mascot should be a golden retriever

I'm totally going to admit that I'd participate, just because I dance like a goofball in front of patients anyway. Might as well get brownie points for it.

But, mostly, just give me my PTO and the chance to use it.
