2020 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Hey people! I've been interested in the HRSA Nurse Corps Loan repayment program for several years, just never took the time to apply. I am full-time nurse faculty in an BSN program. For those who have applied before:

1. When does the cycle usually open? ( I have signed up for updates)

2. How do you calculate your DTI? (This is all new to me?)

Thanks for your responses. Hopefully we can kick some student loan debt in the butt!! I'm excited and haven't even applied yet! Blessings to you all!

Has anyone who has applied for the NHSC Scholarship heard anything back yet, in terms of a credit check?

Does your NHSC application still say under review? I’m waiting to hear back from both programs.

My NHSC said finalist when they sent the email. I think it stays as under review until you get a finalist offer. Once I accepted, it automatically declined my Nurse Corp application.

I accepted mine (LRP-SUD) as well. I wonder when it will all be finalized. The waiting is/has been intense.

Received inquiry from Credco today. Fingers crossed that this year will be the year!!

I finally got a credit check Thursday. They had already started sending out award letters to others so I’m wondering why they even checked my credit. NP rural area. Like 6th time applying ?
