Hey people! I've been interested in the HRSA Nurse Corps Loan repayment program for several years, just never took the time to apply. I am full-time nurse faculty in an BSN program. For those who have applied before:
1. When does the cycle usually open? ( I have signed up for updates)
2. How do you calculate your DTI? (This is all new to me?)

I actually receive the scholarship program from HRSA and it was amazing! They gave me a full ride scholarship plus a monthly stipend in order to go to nursing school and complete two years of service in a high needs area. It qualifies for either mental or primary health scores when searching for a job. If you’re concerned the primary Heath score doesn’t qualify but the mental heath score does no worries. It just has to qualify in either/or but you don’t have to work in that field just that facility! My experience was awesome and I voice it to everyone and anyone going to school, completed school, or thinking about school.
Nurse corps here : Not even a credit check, absolutely nothing ;(

Don’t get discouraged! I just got notified I got a credit check from credco today! I applied for both, both say under review I seriously have waaay too much debt, my site score said 16-17. I’m praying with all my might to get one of them!

Did you apply for the NHSC LRP program or SUDs program. I’ve not heard anything had a credit check completed but that’s it? I didn’t apply for the Nurse Corp cause my DTI ratio is low.

I use Credit Karma as well! If you download the app on your phone, it will notify you immediately when a credit report is pulled and who is doing it.
