Why is my favorite TP no longer available? What is happening with our distribution network? Why no Scott?
What other shortages are you all encountering?
I kid you, not! And the prices ...
Just check out amazon - I thought it was just my local grocery. So I checked there. Availability decreased but prices muy increased. And then the quality of the generics aren't worth it by reviews.
I guess with more folk staying at home, maybe they hate doing dishes.
Personally, I have a conspiracy theory that the makers of paper pulp are selling out to the highest bidders who are making a profit on making face masks.
I go out foraging once a week - I buy what I see so if I see toilet paper, paper towels etc... I get it - a couple of weeks ago I scored 2 cans of Lysol, a 4 pack of Clorox wipes and four gallons of antiseptic medical grade white vinegar. I need to buy bleach and rubbing alcohol soon and gauze and tape for wound care.
The garden is producing well so I'm getting a lot of fresh vegetables. I've been canning and preserving for years so the shelves are filling up. I only buy meat every two weeks if I find something really good on sale I'll break it down and make jerky. Any frozen meat that I don't use within 3 months get ground and made into dog food.
The trick is to know the day of the week when individual stores and warehouses tend to get their stock. Like dry pasta goes on sale on Wednesday. Dairy which can be made into cheese also gets thrown out on Thursday. I also find Military surplus stores a great place to shop and hang out with folks in the know about survival skills.

Where'd you find those? I'm super jealous right now.

I actually got the Lysol and Clorox wipes at a Cost CO. Where I live they get a big delivery on Wednesday night and I am at the door on Thursday AM. Costco is giving priority shopping to nurses, first responders and other healthcare professionals.
The Vinegar I got at a medical supply store but you can use regular distilled white vinegar as long as the acidity is 5% or greater. It works great in dark laundry when you can't use bleach. At one cup to the bleach compartment on your Washer and if you really want to get stains and smells out at 1 cup of washing soda to the load. These are tricks my Grandma taught me years ago.
I am heading out now in search of chicken fish and lamb. Also seeds for my vegetable garden. Time to start the seedlings for Fall crops. Sweet potatoes, russets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, radishes. Hydroponic set up in the green house is doing well. Will be adding small fish to the biome in the next week or so.
Need a composter too but so far haven't found one I like.

I buy vinegar every time I go to Sam's but they never have the cleaning wipes. I bought seeds from one of the local farm and feed stores last year. I need to restock since you mentioned it. I bought just about every seed from the dollar store and walmart when they first went on the shelves earlier this year. Always make it a habit to keep seeds stocked.

No doubt! There are signs up at almost local places requesting people pay with exact change if possible when using cash. Only thing that comes to mind at all is a lot of people have decided to start saving up their change?
I've always done that myself on a small scale, I have one piggy bank for quarters and another for nickles and dimes. When they get full I cash them in. I use cash so rarely now though that there's not more than $20.00 between them and I kind of forgot about it. I guess I can take what I have into a local store and cash it in directly to them if they need it.

They want to eliminate cash at all costs. So there is nothing left to trade, except maybe barter services.
It's all about population control. They couldn't enslave us before, now they have their chance. Do you honestly think this virus just happened?
Maybe, but I highly doubt it.

Huh? Why are paper plates scorifice? I mean, I can see how napkins and paper towel might be used for, uh, something else. But paper plates?
