Why is my favorite TP no longer available? What is happening with our distribution network? Why no Scott?

What other shortages are you all encountering?

We decided, a few years back, that gold and silver were solid investments for retirement. It will be difficult to make that digital.

Is this gold and silver that you have in your possession (or locked in a bank) or do you merely have certificates that state that you own this much?

I buy vinegar every time I go to Sam's but they never have the cleaning wipes. I bought seeds from one of the local farm and feed stores last year. I need to restock since you mentioned it. I bought just about every seed from the dollar store and walmart when they first went on the shelves earlier this year. Always make it a habit to keep seeds stocked.

I made some wipes of my own as well. Used the blue shop paper towels and stuffed them into an old wipes container then filled with formula 409 which the CDC says kills the virus.

Can somebody explain to me how the country has run out of coins/change? Is this the twilight zone?

There is no shortage of change! If this were true I would not have been able to go to my bank and purchase 10 rools each: Quarters, dimes, nickles and pennies.

Conspiracy theories aside I believe this started because essential workers were afraid to handle Cash and coin for fear of catching the virus. Even though the CDC has made it clear that it's improbable that the virus spreads by surface contact. Although they admit that it might be possible they have stated this is not the main way the virus is spread.

I am a bit of an anacrinism in that I still write checks, use chash and coin for most purchases, although I don't make a "Karen" of myself when asked to use my credit card. Life is simply too short to justify the massive expenditure of energy that would take.

If it helps I do iron my cash with a hot iron after spraying it with H2O2.

WOW! that's what I need to do..been carrying Covid dollars (change) in my scrub pockets for months. I am always scared I won't have money for food, emergencies ( that's what growing up in communist east Europe will do to you)

So now I have a plan. Ironing my emergency cash dollars.

Cheers! (Seriously, ty)

No, SEVERAL stores and fast food restaurants are requesting exact change or credit/debit because they don't have coins. Some places, including banks, are even offering to buy change. It's a real thing.

I never thought of that. But now that I know about it watch my local Sam's be out of shop towels. ?

I had read or heard on the news that the reason for the shortage was labor problems at the mints due to positive covid-19 cases amongst the workers. I would think that would be more widely discussed as all covid-19 information still predominates the media.

Just have not noticed it in my neck of the woods - Only the big box stores and some fast food chains are asking for exact change - but they literally do have change as I have received when I state I didn't bring my credit card so had to pay with cash.

Received 2 free single rolls of generic toilet paper in a complimentary 'grab bag' from my Meals-On-Wheels provider.

Appreciated but unexpected, to say the least.

Do we still have nurses who don't have enough masks?
