I share my family loss with the Allnurses.com community for guidance and insight.
My brother died alone in his apartment.
No one called 911.
The day before
a neighbor heard him moaning
all day in his aprtment.
Why didn't she call 911?
The super called to him
under his door.
He never came to the door.
Why didn't they call 911?
Every one has their time
to leave this life.
My family and I question the circumstances
surrounding my brother's death
and pray that he has moved on
to the next level.
Sincerely and Blessings,
From the Family and friends of SHOWBIZRN.

I am also sorry to hear about your loss. What this will do is make me into a more vigilant neighbor and as you said, CALL 911.

showbiz, 911 wouldn't necessarily have worked. I called them in NE about my aunt, who hadn't answered the phone in several days. Finally on Sunday neighbors called, after we got ahold of them, and the police found her in bed, several days after she had died.
My thoughts are with you.
