My Family Tragedy: Passing of Showbizrn's Brother

I share my family loss with the Allnurses.com community for guidance and insight.

My brother died alone in his apartment.

No one called 911.

The day before

a neighbor heard him moaning

all day in his aprtment.

Why didn't she call 911?

The super called to him

under his door.

He never came to the door.

Why didn't she call 911?

Why didn't they call 911?

Every one has their time

to leave this life.

My family and I question the circumstances

surrounding my brother's death

and pray that he has moved on

to the next level.

My deepest sympathy to you & your family. My Aunt fell in her bathroom and was there for 3 days before someone broke in to check up on her. She passed that day. Today people don't want to get involved. But I wish it were different, we really are "our brother's keeper".
