I don't want to hijack the other thread but I wanted to update on my daughter's broken arm. We saw Ortho yesterday and she is having surgery tomorrow. They were not able to completely reduce it in the ER, it's still completely displaced. I'll TRY to add pix... I'm bad at it, apparently.
Please cross your fingers for a smooth surgery and uneventful recovery!!
Before reduction- That bone should not be pointing at her ribs

I don't know how long the surgery will be, but I'll have a book and my phone. I may take a walk around the area if it's nice out, but I've also got a chest cold so I'm not sure how motivated to move around I'll be
Well you better keep us updated, or you and I are gonna have a long talk. Chest cold or not.
Ouch is right! I feel your pain as a momma. My 10 yr old stiff armed a concrete block wall playing floor hockey in PE at school about 4 weeks ago and had a nasty displaced distal radius fracture and non displaced ulnar fracture. Surgery, and still a difficult reduction even with it opened up. He still has percutaneous pins in until at least the 6th, but has been a trooper. Kids are much tougher than we are pain wise! Speedy healing and good surgery vibes sent your way!!
