Hi guys!
I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.
I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.
So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe
Blissberry!!!
I am now coming on the site for a few days. That's great that you will be taking the course on Saturday. Hope to see you there!! I don't know how to PM on here so my email is [email protected]. It would be great to get your real name and maybe what u plan to wear so I can spot you in the class.
Does anyone know what will happen if one of your titers came back negative. I apparently never got the varicella vaccine, so I got my 1st dose yesterday. But my antibody concentration won't be high enough til I get the SECOND dose of the vaccine which is ALL the way at the end of Novemeber, after orientation. I'm a little worried as to what they will say since I technically won't be "prepared" and set to go by orientation day...
BTW thank you SOOOOO MUCH Neyla for posting that info about the drug screen. I absolutely did NOT see that. I will get that sorted out now! That really was a HUGE SAVE you did there for me and I'm sure MANY others!! :)
rnati,
i have a similar issue with the titers.
apparently i did not get the measles vaccine therefore i have no immunity towards the measles. i called the nursing dept. with regards to how i proceed in this case and they advised i get the vaccine asap and advise them of the issue the day of orientation.
after vaccination i need to get the titer done again because proof of vaccination is not acceptable but i can only get the titers done 30 days after being vaccinated and i have to turn in the titters result to nursing dept before the holiday break.
this is was what i was told by the person who answered the phone in the nursing dept but please call yourself and ask just in case they advise differently.
let me know what they tell you.
Hello everyone, I just want to know if you received a similar email like this one:
Please contact Willie Taylor at 305-237-4150 as soon as possible to schedule an appointment to discuss your background check results. Please do not reply to this email.
If you have any questions, please contact your program advisor.

Don't worry because I am in the same situation ! I asked the Nursing department and I was told not to worry because we just have to bring at orientation the receipt and the registration date. They know about this issue and is not a problem,so we can do it after orientation!!!!!!Good luck!

ahhh man neyla, you just scared the begeezes out of me!!!
i never really paid attention to the whole the 5 panel drug test results must be in a sealed envelope from the lab, but i just called the nursing department and they said that the results could be from your primary physician (and i'm assuming from any other legit place) as long as the results are in a sealed envelope. i was just going to tell my doctor's office to have their seal on the front and/or maybe back of the envelope indicating that my results are legit and what not...
whoa!... that could have been really messy if they said it would have had to be from the lab....

lol but good call neyla!!!
