MDC Spring 2012 :)

Hi guys!

I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.

I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.

So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe

Hello everyone!!! I am about to start the accelerated program this fall...can anyone from the accelerated program tell me- how did you get prepared for the first semester?..how was your experience? anything else you would to share...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I have a question about calculating my science GPA.

I know we need to calculate:

Chem+Lab

A&P 1 & 2 + Labs

& Micro

so that's a total of 7 grades.

however, I repeated Chem1033 (W)... do I divide by 7 or 8?

also, what if I have taken Micro Lab? does that go into consideration?

Ab,

The question about your class in which you received a W is probably best answered by an advisor. As far as the Micro lab, you do need it to graduate, however it is NOT factored into your GPA for admission. Hope this helps!

Is there anyone here doing the LPN to RN bridge program? I wanted to know how difficult it is and also any other tips would be greatly appreciated please.

Hi. I applied for the transitional program starting in January . I haven't decided if FT online or PT face to face. Anyone here doing either? I'd really appreciate any info on the work load. I work FT 7-3, M-F & can't afford to quit. :)

I have a couple of people that did the bridge online and said that it was torture and wish they did that the face-to-face...they say it is a struggle

And one more thing clinicals are during the day on thursday and friday

I wanted to know did you ever start the online LPN TO RN bridge at MDC online? If so how is it? and what time and days do you go to clinicaLs?

Hi guys! I'm about to start the program and I just wanna know what you guys think about the books? Really mandatory all of them? Only some? Do you have the online version to study from.
