MDC Spring 2012 :)

Hi guys!

I received the syllabuses for two of my classes today! I'm really excited!!!

BTW, I realized that the all my highlighters bleed through my Fundamental of Nursing book The pages are way too thin. However, I read in another thread (MDC *Generic F/T) that the sharpies gel highlighters are really good and do not bleed through. I just ordered mines on Amazon.

How did you get the syllabus? Did they email it to you? Did you pay your classes? I have not paid my classes because I am waiting for the South Florida workforce to pay for it. Are you taking Generic or AO? How do you think I can get syllabus for my classes in AO? Do they have a website for all the professor's syllabus just like in FIU? Thanks for the tip about the gel highlighters...:)

I am also STILL waiting on the background check. I have been to the campus and called and they tell me now to worry just print it out and bring it when I receive the e-mail. I am not worrying about it since the problem is on their end.

I got the syllabuses by email, and I don't think that you will find them on the professors website. Actually I don't even think that the majority of the prof have one. Also, my classes are already paid for, I have financial aid.

BTW, I'm in the generic program!

Hello everyone, Congratulations to all who got accepted!!! :clpty:Ceeeelebrate good times....come on!!!

I received a call December 9th regarding acceptance to the generic FT Homestead campus. So, as you can all imagine, it has been brutal :uhoh3: to get everything done in such a short period of time. I pretty much have taken care of everything except for tuition. :crying2: I'm going to end up applying for a short term loan while the financial issue gets resolved.

Some of you mentioned something about a coat and other items. Can someone fill me in on this?

Also, for those who have received the syllabus. Did you receive it via MDC email?

We need to form a strong study group as soon as we start in January.

Yes, the syllabus were sent through the MDC email.

And you will need to buy a lab coat at the MDC bookstore & the uniform for clinicals. Also, you need to order an ID tag there as well, it usually takes like a month, so you better hurry! :)

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! I am at Medical but it should be both the labcoat and the white and teal smock thingy that they sell in the bookstore. If its the same at Homestead you wear the smock and white scrub pants for clinicals and the labcoat on campus.

I have not received a syllabus for any of my classes yet but I believe those that did got it via MDC email.

Also if you dont mind sharing your Natural Science GPA and Teas. It will be helpfull to the folks still waiting.

Hey everyone, I am really confused on what we should wear to class. Help please! My first class in January is NUR1060C... What do I wear?

Hi aselva! For the skill class you have to wear the Lab coat & closed toe shoes :) To the other classes you can wear your regular clothes & to the clinicals the uniform.

Does the lab-coat have have any embroidery on it? I would like to know if it is necessary to purchase the one at miami dade or can I just order one online?
