Happy New Year everyone!!! Does anyone have Dr Alvarez? She emailed the syllabus with all the books listed. I am wondering if we will have to bring ALL those books to every class???????????????? They dont all fit in my bookbag so if we have to bring them all i will have to get a bigger bag. If anyone knows can you let me know Thanks a bunch:confused:

Elmyadry CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! I am at Medical but it should be both the labcoat and the white and teal smock thingy that they sell in the bookstore. If its the same at Homestead you wear the smock and white scrub pants for clinicals and the labcoat on campus. I have not received a syllabus for any of my classes yet but I believe those that did got it via MDC email. Also if you dont mind sharing your Natural Science GPA and Teas. It will be helpfull to the folks still waiting. Congrats again:yeah::yeah:

I am also STILL waiting on the background check. I have been to the campus and called and they tell me now to worry just print it out and bring it when I receive the e-mail. I am not worrying about it since the problem is on their end.

Hello everyone. I was wondering for those that have started reading the fundies book, what chapter did you start with? I want to get started reading but I would like to see what chapter(s) are best to begin with. Thanks for any info :christmastree:

I want something comfortable but not to dorky...lol Has anyone started reading yet? I have my fundies book but I only started a few pages in the infection control chapter that someone recommended.

:christmastree:Hello there...I am in the part time program as well. I met a couple girls at the orientation and then I also met a classmate in my CPR/BLS class. I am working on getting everything I need. So far I have 3 of the books and the lab coat. I didnt buy the clinicals very attractive looking smock yet (ugh) because we wont have clinicals till next semester. Looking for a stethoscope, also want a color...do we need that for class or for clinicals?? Does anyone know what we are supposed to wear under the lab coat. I believe we have to wear the lab coat to campus for class. Looking forward to getting to know everyone simce we will be together for the next 2 1/2 years. :christmastree

Orientation over all was long and somewhat boring. They go over the campus resourses, the student handbook and all the do's and don'ts. They will give you the list of classes you need to take. Be ready to register with a laptop or cell phone if you can. The book list is long and they will also give you information on uniforms and materials etc... Dont worry if you do not have all your paperwork in order. Quite a few people didnt have it, myself included, they give you extra time. Ours only let out about 20 minutes early. People where asking quite a few questions I think thats all Happy Thanksgiving everyone :hrnsmlys:

FYI: I was at the medical campus today and apparently they say there will still be letters going out. ?????

My letter doesnt say if its Homestead or Medical. It only says Part time program. I actually have no idea at this point where it will be. Does anyone know if the part time program is only at medical? I think it is
