Hi guys, I have been reading that a few of you already purchased and are starting to read the textbooks. I am actually starting to order my books now so if anyone has any info as to where I can buy at a better rate please let me know. Meanwhile I just ordered the Fundamentals of Nursing 7th ed (used) for $29.43 at TextbooksRus (at MDC it's $110.00).

Congrats Jael and Naty and the others who got accepted into the Baptist Scholars!! I called in to check if I got in but unfortunatly I did not. I am so, so sad!!!!

Guys, I am comming from the Doral area and I think traffic will be bad but I never travel to that part of town in rush hour, so if anyone has an Idea of the amount of time it will take me to get there considering traffic let me know. I was thinking leaving around 7 am (what do you guys think). I read that the Medical campus students on the thread did not get to meet each other due to traffic delays.

I would love to meet all of you and maybe we can register for some of the same classes if we are in the same sequence.The vending machines sound great to me.

Mishell, Thanks for the info. So we will not be registered by the college as most of us had previously read on the thread?

I just got the call from Baptist also and I will also be interviewing tomorrow.

Hi guys, I am sure many of you attended orientation yesterday. How was it? What did you learn about the program that you didn't know or that was exciting or intersting or maybe not so interesting. Give us some feed back. Us homestead students will not attend orientation till the EOM.

naty, we will not see the book advance till we have schedules because the amount of the book advance depends on the amount of the total credit you are attempting. and i assume we will not have our schedules till all admits have gone to the second mandatory meeting in which we take that ati test that will place you in the sequence that better suits your learning style. at least this is my understanding. hope it helps.

naty5057, Thanks for the insight on the baptiost interview. I have not received a call yet but hopefully I will soon. But is it me or do these questions they ask in the interview have no real wrong or right answer. What do you do when you know that someone calling in sick is not really sick? Do you tell a supervisor or mind your business? What is you biggest mistake? are they refering to our personal or professional lives? Now I am even more nervous because I don't think there are conclusive answers to these questions. :smackingf
