Our last day was officially announced yesterday evening. My kids are done on 6/9 and staff is finished on 6/12. We are so close!!!
What about everyone else? This year has absolutely flown by for me, I can't believe it's already May.
For those of you who are contracted for days after the students are gone... what do you still have left to do once the kids are gone? I have 7 days without students at the beginning of the year which are used for going over physicals/immunizations, calling parents about missing physicals/immunizations, alerting teachers to kids with medical needs, ect. But I don't see the benefit to being there several days after the kids are all gone.
I was wondering the same thing. I am coming in one extra day after the little ones are gone to just close my office since I won't be in the actual last day of school, but that most likely won't even be a whole day.
Ug. I know each state/region is different but I remember a principal that I had once saying that if we had more than 5 emergency days that we could petition to the state to not have to make up more than that. We were at 4 emergency days and I was hoping for more at that point!
The klids are going based on hours of instruction, we are going based on days in our contract...

We had to petition our state to get out of 2 snow days, and we finish up on June 20th. My kids are going to be spent.
