Our last day was officially announced yesterday evening. My kids are done on 6/9 and staff is finished on 6/12. We are so close!!!
What about everyone else? This year has absolutely flown by for me, I can't believe it's already May.
How do you manage that and fit in 180 days? Just curious. I attended a private school from ages 3-18 and even then we have 180 days scheduled. We didn't have a winter break, so we got out earlier than the public school, but even then earliest I hit was mid-June.
We only have 170 days because our days are 30 minutes longer than public school. We also have very few single days off, our Thanksgiving and Spring breaks are only 4 days and our winter break is ten school days. Makes for long months, especially after February.
Wow, a big range of dates!
Everyone was complaining over the winter that they wanted more snow days. Those people are nuts. We had 2 lovely day off for snow and a delayed opening and now we are getting out an extra week earlier compared to what we had last year. I prefer that to a week of snow days!
I have field day, 4 field trips and a whole lotta playground injuries between now and the last day but the end is in sight! Then it's ramen and not turning the lights on all summer to save $! Worth it.
Student's last day is 6/22, staff's last day is 6/26, but rumor has it the superintendent might waive those last few days for staff so we get out the same day as the students. It has been a rough year with some pretty decent snow storms in my neck of the woods. Original end date was June 17 for students.
Are gonna do the pad Bingo again?
