Hi,
I visit this site a lot. I love it. I have a burning question for all the students who prepared with the kaplan program. I'm schedule to take my test very soon. With the kaplan program it said to score 65 or better on each of the 7 test. Test 1-3 my scores are 54-61%. The qbank scores rank from 50-80 %
guys please should i reschedule my test?
Wow I didn't realize it was so expensive it's 300 bucks for just the QBANKS. I have already paid 350 for the live review and it's materials. I think I will just stick with that and saunders if not I will be broke.
Hopefully they will be enough.
Thanks for the info anyways.
There are different packages you can get. I got one for $399 that included everything they had: classroom, online everything (videos, lectures, questions), Q-Bank, Question Trainers.
For me, the money I spent on Kaplan was the best investment I have ever made. My NCLEX was just like the questions on Kaplan. I am convinced I would not have passed without Kaplan. I don't usually get so crazy about one particular company, but I studied from many books and Kaplan was the best for me. Your scores are fine, just keep at it and review the rationales. Don't reschedule! Good luck!
Im 3 days away from taking NCLEX, and NERVOUS! I took Kaplan NCLEX-RN Complete, but havent studied from the actual course book much. My scores on the QTrainers/QBank have been in the low 50's. Ive tried postpoing my NCLEX date, but Pearson told me there isnt another slot open for the next 5 weeks....since I have no choice but to take NCLEX this week, and STILL feel there is SOOO much content I have to review, what can you Kaplan lovers suggest to do these last couple days? Im torn on whether I should review QUESTIONS or skim through the BOOK? Help!! Thanks so much =)
I would review the questions and rationales. You can't possible know everything, so just focus on strategy and how to answer questions in the final days before your NCLEX. Review labs values because they may pop up (I only had 1 question w/ any type of labs, but everyone is different!) and just try to relax during the test. Easier said than done, I know!!
One thing I did was to review questions. I made sure I did at least one test of 265. Then with the Qbank I focused on areas that I felt I needed to such as prioritization I believe the Qbank has a 30 question test. My scores were in the low 60's for Kaplan. The day before I took the test I vowed I would not do questions but I did 40 and then I reviewed Addison's and Cushings because I could never get it straight - funny thing was was that not one question related to them

I took the "complete" course including the classroom review but I found the classroom review totally useless. As long as you get something that gives you access to the qtrainers and qbank, that's the important part and THAT is the part that I felt helped me the most.
